‘Other’ SC TE said to be ineligible for draft … South Carolina TE Weslye Saunders reportedly has been declared ineligible for the NFL draft due to a paperwork issue. Saunders had even been invited to the scouting combine in Indianapolis later this month but that invitation reportedly has also been rescinded. Saunders was technically a senior in 2010, but didn't play after he was suspended for numerous violations including accepting improper benefits. Because he didn’t play last fall, Saunders reportedly still had to petition the NFL to be included in the draft to be eligible and purportedly failed to do so. Saunders had been considered to be one of the top prospects at the position prior to the season, but saw his stock plummet as a result of the off-field issues. www.gbnreport.com
