Football Outsiders article: Carimi, Sherrod, Solder

Got this as part of my Twitter feed this morning. Don't count out Sherrod at 9.

agreed. he seems like a colts type OL . small and finesse type . we know what we need and it's a big , run blocking , nasty RT . Not at 9 but i want Carimi on this team bad.

Still a long way to go. Personal workouts, Combine, interviews. By the time the draft comes around he may have climbed up the rankings. Or Carimi, or Smith, or Solder.

I have seen him rated, generally, below 20th overall. It varies. And I can't truly speak to who is a legitimate evaluator and who isn't. I'm ignorant in this respect. I am receptive to finding out who people on the board listen to. Any direction is welcome.

I don`t want any tackle at 9, but I would rather have Sherrod than take Solder or Tyron Smith.

I wonder if we could trade down in the first for a package that included another second round pick, then draft Carimi in the late first, and grab both Wisniewski AND Pouncey in the second. :)

I agree Carimi or Sherrod would be okay. Don`t forget Marcus Cammon and Ben Ijalana.

This would gratify me. I like Sherrod a bit more than Carimi, but it's a win-win with these guys. Both are athletic, intelligent, hard-working types. I anticipate both will be cornerstones for their respective teams for years, barring injury.
