My friends from Omaha are going to stop by for a visit while I recover too and going to get some Buffalo Wild Wings ordered in. I don't have much of an appetite from the pain killers and this is what I am craving. Hope they taste good -- most things taste gross right now. Even pizza!
Glad you are out of the hospital. I got out Wednesday night.

Whatever they're offering at the party, hopefully..
I may eat something before then tho. Since I don't eat certain things, there's no guarantee I'll be able to eat once we get there there.

Just got home from the local grocery. I bought several boxes of all the appetizer stuff you can get at places like Applebee's and Chile's. One crock pot with meatballs and another with little weinie's both smothered in my favorite BBQ sauce. Throw in a couple of bags of chips and some drinks and it's a feast. Way more food than we can get if anyone wants to come over consider yourself invited ha ha.

I am going to make some wings.
I'll never understand why wings are some popular other than they are cheap. Too much work for too little meat.

Bloody Mary Flank Steak, courtesy of Guy Fieri. Plus my girl's seven-layer dip and my mom's spinach artichoke dip.
Ingredients
1 cup vegetable juice (recommended: V-8)
1/2 cup vodka
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (http://www.foodterms.com/encyclopedia/worcestershire-sauce/index.html)
1/2 tablespoon crushed garlic
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon celery seed (http://www.foodterms.com/encyclopedia/celery-seed/index.html)
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish (http://www.foodterms.com/encyclopedia/horseradish/index.html)
4 tablespoons olive oil
1-pound flank steak Directions
Thoroughly mix all the ingredients except for the flank steak (http://www.foodterms.com/encyclopedia/flank-steak/index.html) in a 1-gallon zip lock bag. Add the flank steak. Marinate (http://www.foodterms.com/encyclopedia/marinate/index.html) in the refrigerator for at least 8 and up to 24 hours.
Preheat the grill to high or heat a skillet over high heat. Remove the flank steak from the marinade (http://www.foodterms.com/encyclopedia/marinade/index.html) and wipe the excess liquid off with paper towels. Grill or pan sear both sides, then lower heat to medium and cook to medium rare.
Let the flanks steak rest, covered, with a clean towel for 5 to 10 minutes. Cut on the bias against the grain and serve.

Grilled chicken and flank steak for fajitas along with three types of bell peppers. Made guacamole and pico de gallo. Also grilled plantains, squash, zucchini, and pineapple. A few beers to wash it down with.
