Anyone hear about this, I am reading peter kings mmqb and he has a blurb about all these rumors flying of payton to Dallas? First I heard of it, anyone hear anything?

One final note: Rumors were flying Sunday of Sean Payton taking some sort of undisclosed role with the Dallas Cowboys immediately. With Payton working the Super Bowl for ESPN, stories started that he was talking to the club about jumping from the Saints. Payton told me this morning he was "absolutely not'' jumping ship, and would be back with the Saints as coach this year. So there you go.

Per PFT, he is building a house in the Dallas area. The rest was just conjecture.

He is young and the head coach of the Saints. Why would he come to Dallas?

Maybe he only has a few years or so before be burns out and needs a change.

Some site yesterday called footballscoop had a blurb about it. So naturally DMN picked up on it. Supposedly he was going to be the new GM.

Rumors were been rampant all day Sunday that New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton was leaving for a position with the Dallas Cowboys according to the Dallas Morning News (http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/dallas-cowboys/20110206-saints-release-statement-sean-payton-is-not-going-to-the-dallas-cowboys_.ece).

The Saints issues the following statement disputing those rumors: "Coach Payton is the Saints Head Coach; he is not going to the Dallas Cowboys in any capacity."

Must be the painkillers he is abusing. Maybe they are going to fire him because he keeps stealing them from the trainers cabinet.
