The stage was set. Down by 6 with 2 minutes left in the Super bowl. Big Ben had destiny in his hands. At stake was a shot at immortality. Had Big Ben guided the Steelers down the field for a come from behind win, the media hyperbole would have been off the charts. Had he not failed, these were the spoils:
1. Steelers get a seemingly insurmountable 7th Super bowl victory.
2. Steelers become the latest NFL dynasty winning 3 rings in 6 years.
3. Big Ben receives "relative" media absolution from sexual deviant label.
4. Big Ben joins the mount rushmore (3 or more rings) of NFL quarterbacks - Aikman, Montana, Brady, and Bradshaw.
5. Big Ben greatly diminishes the significance of his horrible first SB qb ranking
6. Steelers get bragging rights as first SB victor in a Dallas' house.
7. "And they're buying a stairway to......." DOH!
The 2 minutes that COULD have BEN. Here's hoping that Tom Landry, in the real nosebleed seats, had something to do with the outcome.

Ben's performance was a big beer fart from his bar hopping during the week. After I heard he was getting tanked during the week, I had a good feeling the Packers would win. Ben's a good talent but totally immature.

As I said in a previous thread, Benny Barnes is smiling somewhere. The only way it could have been any better is if the Steelers had lost because of a bad call from the refs.

i found myself doing fist pumps as if the cowboys had just won
the only other time i rooted for the packers was when they played the eagirls earlier in the year
if there was one team i would have wanted the stealers to beat, it would have been the eagirls

For the past two weeks, this is exactly what I feared, .. yes, and even expected.
And just for a moment while reading your post I got the same sick gut feeling that I have had for 2 weeks.
But then I remembered, the Packers stopped them!!
Which reminds me, their defense stopped the Eagles from scoring late to preserve a win, same thing against the Bears, and now the Steelers.
If our defense could do that, we could win a bunch more than we do.
Get ir done RR!
