Is he the best GM in the NFL?

The guy has an eye for what an NFL player should look like.

That team took on a lot of injuries and just kept plugging guys in.

Picking Clay Matthews in the 1st round was a gutsy move too.

Not to mention all the heat they took for letting go of Favre.

IMO he is #1 and has been for a few years now.

I don't know about that, however, from what I read he is definitely the most involved from a scouting perspective. He spends almost all of his time on the road doing college scouting. They say he won't pick anybody he hasn't personally had a chance to see work out. Measure of the man kind of stuff.

I wonder of many players that we pick that Jerry personally scouts?

No he is not the best GM...

How many commercials is he in?

How many episodes of Entourage has he been in?

Does he even try to promote boxing matches?

I thought not.

He has taken heat but always seems to come out looking good on his decisions.

He took Rodgers as his first draft pick and has continued to draft well almost every year.

He dumped some pretty popular players early on too.

Replacing Mike Sherman with Mike McCarthy was a good move too.

It seems like he is 1 step ahead of everyone doesn't it?

He's pretty good. Right now, he's probably the best drafter in the league. He knows what he wants in his players, and seems to have good prototypes for each position.

No doubt.
I think Belichick and Pioli are good too. I'm curious to see if Holmgren can turn it around in Cleveland.

Why? Holmgren was terrible as the GM in Seattle. Of course, it might have been due to doing double duty as Head Coach and GM, but take a look at his draft picks in the era he had control. Not so sterling....
