MySA:Cowboys coach expects big things from coordinator.

“I cannot do the same,” the Dallas Cowboys coach said with a smile. “We certainly all want to compete and participate and win a Super Bowl, but we are going to be more focused on the process along the way.”

For sure, it was typical, boring stuff from Garrett. But in making his first public comments about the coaching staff he recently assembled, Garrett gushed about another Ryan who isn't afraid to speak his mind.

That would be Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, Rex's twin brother.
“We hit it off well right away,” Garrett said Ryan, who spent the past two seasons with Cleveland.

“He came into my office, and he had on a coat and tie and his hair was nicely combed. He looked good,” Garrett said. “But we started talking football and about three minutes into our conversation, I'd never seen a guy who wanted to get out of a coat and tie more than this guy. So I said, ‘Rob, just take the thing off.' He literally went boom, got rid of the tie, grabbed a pen and started writing on the*board.

“I was impressed by the coat and tie, and I was equally impressed by him getting rid of it and getting going and really being who he*is.”

Yes! I love it!
