In order of overall talent level and preference?
M Dareus, DT
R Quinn, OLB/DE
the Prince, CB
T Smith, OT
I think I'd go with Dareus as the highest rated, followed by Quinn. I would think that Prince and Smith are really close.
In terms of preference, I would go with Dareus, followed by Smith, then Quinn, and finally Prince.
It's a tough call because all 4 players are very talented. But, I think the Cowboys could have a legitimate shot at least at 2-3 of these guys at 9.
Just wanted to get some of the Board's opinions.

Smith
Dareus
Quinn
Prince
Dareus and Quinn are close..I only put Dareus above Quinn because Dareus is a 100% fit in a 3-4, some believe Quinn is much better suited in a 4-3...Off of pure talent, i would put Quinn above Dareus..

I keep seeing guys who are really high on Smith, and I am not. Maybe Jacob Rodgers has me gun-shy when it comes to USC linemen, plus I heard o NFLN if he was a LT he should have been able to do it in college yet he was a RT only. So I want an OL or DL myself, just give me the best one on the board at 9 (unless we find a partner willing to dance in a trade, really like Costanzo and Carimi just not at 9 though).

This is a such a strange group of players to try to compare value against eachother.
In terms of value, position, skills-set of the player himself, I would put Marcell Dareus in last.
3-4 DE's in the Top 10 are normally not good value. Right or wrong, they play a position often just occupies space and isn't necessarily an impact position. I understand the nuances of the position, but that is the argument with a 34 DEs.
I'm not a fan of Dareus the player; he's a bull-rusher, push/pull guy that isn't outstanding at any one thing. He also disappears in games, which ironically is what I notice most about hiim.

Dareus -- Not quite a Suh's level but an impact interior lineman. Warren Sapp-ish. Top 6 pick after very solid combine showing. I think he still goes after Fairley who was more disruptive in the game on the same field.
Quinn -- Man amongst boys at collegiate level with his athleticism but LT's will be far better at the next level. A fairly pure pass rusher and who sat out all last year. Top 10 pick who might have been first had he performed well this year.
Prince -- Very solid CB who can play the run and cover. A bit inconsistent and will need help over the top in all likelihood but a legit starting CB who can help early. Top 12 pick.
T Smith, OT -- Unbelievable athlete but may be a bit like other workout warriors in delayed progress. (Has USC had an overachiever in the last 5 drafts?) My main concern is his health and handling the heavier weight. A body doesn't just adapt over night to an additional 25 pounds of muscle. If the knee is an issue and he can't squat heavy weights I see no way he keeps all that weight on. Protein shakes alone won't help him maintain the weight with an NFL workload. Top 15 pick.

Wow, I see Dareus and a good workhorse type player. I don't think he will be a dominating tackle like Sapp was. I think his best asset will be his run stuffing ability. (holding double teams) I just don't see him becoming a serious pass rush threat of the caliber that Sapp was.

I see Dareus in a similiar fashion. I don't think he's even in the same breath as Suh to even mention him. Sapp was slippery, agile and had repitiore of pass rush moves. No such things could be said about Dareus. If anything, I would be more inclined to say Nick Fairley is more Sapp'esque than Dareus.

Not worried about smith after looking at him; he did not gain that weight in his gut. The reason he mostly played at RT was that USC had a pretty good BIG guy at LT; Smith was slowly adding weight.

I've seen Dareus play and play well in big games. Can't say the same about Tyron Smith. If he's so great, how come you never heard of him until the underwear Olympics? Give me somebody that's got it done on the field first.

Charles Brown for those who want the name. Brown went in the 2nd round (64th) to the Saints.

How come you never heard of Tyron Smith?
Smith has been talked about in draft circles since before this college season even started.
Truthfully, how many USC games did you actually watch this year? And being that you didn't even know who he was, how can you comment on his play one way or the other?

Found this blurb on newnfldraft.com on T Smith. Thought it was kind of interesting. (The mock was done on Feb 28th.)
9. DALLAS COWBOYS: TYRON SMITH, OT, USC (#1 OT- 2011 NFL MOCK DRAFT RANK)
This is a bold pick because a lot of people don’t even have Tyron Smith as the top Offensive Tackle in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. However, Tyron Smith has put on some good weight and he is now over 300 lbs. I believe that he will be a top 15 pick and the top Offensive tackle off the board because I believe he is the most athletic tackle in this draft. Trent Williams came into the combine being a mid to late prospect much like Tyron Smith and he ended up being a top 10 prospect much like I think what will happen with Tyron Smith and I have him doing so in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think when it's all said and done, T Smith will also be the first OT off the board. The draft stock rising comparison to T Williams was kind of interesting. Sort of like Smith starting to eclipse N Solder.

I don't buy that argument at all....
Trent Williams started 40 collegiate games at OU and was a well known commodity since he was a high school kid in Longview Texas. He was highly ranked juts not considered on par with Okung who had truly dominated the exact same DL Williams faced weekly.
Many teams rated him well below where he was drafted because he wasn't all that big and physical. He went where he went because the Redskins wanted lighter zone blockers.
Now a similar scheme may well favor Smith over all OT's, that much I'd concur with wholeheartedly but especially for Dallas with a light in the seat Doug Free I am not sure a slimmer OT ranks as highly on our boards.
I think Smith is the biggest physical freak in this draft but he isn't wholly healthy and that worries me as does that he has never played a game at over 300 pounds.

Darues mybe as a NT if he can gain about 5-7 more pounds.
Not thanks to quinn, I want my SOLB to be able to stop the run
Prince is a great zone CB, he can't press, to bad Ryan likes to play press man
Smith is not ready for the NFL so no way at 9

Quinn is going to be a bust.....the only move he currently has is beating his man to the edge with a dip.....he doesn't have the explosiveness to pull that off at the next level with any consistency. I haven't checked times but just off of watching games, I can see that he isn't going to having eye-popping 3 cone or 10 yard split.

Wasn`t Matt Kalil the LT that beat Smith out of the job due to better pass blocking this year ? That is what I read on a USC fan website a while back.

Give me somebody that's got it done on the field first.I've heard about him for 2 years. Then again I live in Pac 10 country. The Cowboys have had scouts at every game he played this year. You may not have heard about him until now, but that doesn't mean no one else has.

Smith whipped Cameron Jordan and Akem Ayers. both projected to go in the first round, he was all pac10. and according to him he didnt give up a sack last year.

Id go with Robert Quinn as the top rated.
Then Dareus
Then Tyron
Then Prince
And i agree one of them will be there. I think Fairley could be added there too. He's falling.

Ware picks up 90% of his non-garbage sacks with that right now. The difference is the explosion. Ware's numbers were simply off the charts, Quinn's won't be/aren't.
