Well it has been two days, 2 and 3rd and he called him onMarch 1 to say Hi Jason, how you doing. haven't seen you since our game in the Meadowlands in 2003. I hope all is well with your family. If there is anything I can do for you, let me know.
I would smack him on the back and tell him "It's ok, just take it slow and spit it out Pappy"

Better yet just give him paper and a pen and tell him write me a number.
Maybe he could sing it out. Wasnt that how it was with Mel Tillis. He couldnt talk without stuttering but he could sing just fine

Did you guys catch what JJ said about his "pocketbook?" This is from another message board following the PC:
"I was very concerned and scared in a sense which is healthy. Maybe not so healthy for my pocket book, but healthy for all of us."
I hope he didn't use a lot of money for one player and limit us to maybe one or two others before the FA period is over.

this has been an exciting FA period! Last year was a complete bummer and I for one am happy with the activity today. I think Henry's signing screws everyone else up in the CB market and gives us an established CB to pair with Newman. I think Ferguson will be just the ticket to help our D-line, whether it be i the 3-4 or the 4-3. I know we aren't absolutely sure about Rivera, but I'll assume that's the 3:15 PC, and he will absolutely upgrade the OL. The draft should be much more focused at this point and will allow us to target specific needs and hopefully get a few good playmakers.
Go Cowboys!

He does sound like a good guy with a good sense of humor... Seems like he'd make a likeable teammate. I wonder if that's another reason the Jets wanted him back so much.
I laughed when he said the first guy he saw was Keyshawn: "I saw that car and I said to myself that must be Key... And it was." Think Key's car might be tricked out? :D
But did you guys catch when asked about position that he was a nosetackle all the way and that "We already have a great 3-tech here... I'm looking forward to playing next to him."
Sounds like Glover stays and we play at least some 4-3.

One of the intangibles these guys will be able to bring this season is their knowledge of Bill. He was a total pain-in-the-something (don't want to violate board rules!) when he coached the Jets--& he's gonna be that way again this year--so these vets can show the youngsters how to get thru it.

I agree on the 4-3, I think we will play a combination of 3-4 4-3. I'm pretty sure that Jason knew what they were thinking in terms of defense before he signed so that statement could be very telling.

I think we'll use both fronts. All we really need now is one BIG 3-4 DE. We can draft some tweener/rush LBs in the draft.

You would think that Jerry Jones, as a excellent businessman, would be more polished in his speaking style. If you're that rich, I guess that no one is going to correct you. I hope it's just a nervous habit, he hopefully only stutters and stammers in press conferences.

Well remember, they have to be able to resign Jason Witten this off-season, Roy Williams too (I think). Need some cap space for those guys, Roy is going to cost some change.

That's probably why the contracts were so front-loaded. In two years, these guys are gonna want and get extensions... Jason will be restricted next year, but no way he sees the light of FA...
