The National Football League (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/National_Football_League) labor dispute could lead to belt-tightening for everyone from Dallas Cowboys (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Dallas_Cowboys) owner Jerry Jones (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Jerry_Jones) to the lowest-paid rookies. And the city of Arlington (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Arlington%2C_Texas) could have to join them in watching the bottom line if some or all of the upcoming football season slips away.
The NFL dispute between owners and players over details of a new contract — including how revenue should be split and whether to expand the regular season — has heated up since the Super Bowl (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Super_Bowl) was played Feb. 6 at Cowboys Stadium (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Cowboys_Stadium).
At stake for Arlington is a minimum of 10 Cowboys home games that generate millions of dollars for the city’s economy.
