Key stat: How about the number 48. That's where Barber ranked among NFL running backs this past season. With a career-low 374 rushing yards, Barber just edged out Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman (364 yards).

2010 Impact: The biggest issue regarding Barber's future with the Cowboys lies in this category. His impact was minimal at best, and definitely didn't come close to matching his 3.86 million base salary. Barber rushed for just 374 yards, but also scored only four touchdowns, despite a healthy amount of carries around the goal line. Not only did defenses keep Barber out of the end zone, but they also prevented him from being a consistent short-yardage bruiser as he has been in the past. He ranked 24th in the NFL in third-and-1 rushing, converting just nine of 13 attempts (69.2 percent). Injuries again took their toll on Barber, who missed three games late in the year with a calf injury.
