Very weird indeed. Many were expecting this match up to happen, but most likely for Summer Slam. For them to make this the Main Event for next year at Mania is just...bizarre. Unprecedented.

Vince wants to get as much money out of the Rocks return as possible, i'm fully expecting Cena will be walking in as the WWE champ and Rock will be walking out as the WWE champion next year.

Taker vs McMahon is a match that will draw and is the perfect storyline ending for Takers career.


Miz v. Morrison w. Morrison as the Rumble winner is the perfect way to catapult him into superstardom as they have the whole former tag team partner thing to play off of.


Sin Cara v. Mysterio is coming, and it'll probably drag on around 6-9 months. Ending the feud at mania will increase buy rates in mexico immensely.

Money in the Bank is needed back on mania, they defiantly relieze that now. It makes it special.


rumors are that Austin is down to do another match, a final match, and a RattleSnake vs Viper match would be a great feud.

Sheamus v. McIntyre would be built as winner is #1 contender for the WWE title coming out of Mania, have McIntyre win and then have The Rock make McIntyre a star over the next few months.

Where's the ladder matches?

This was something that was glaringly missing this year. With this Sin Cara guy now involved, you now have many high-flyers that could make up a nice ladder match. Sin Cara, Mysterio, Morrison, Bryan, Edge, Christian, The Corre, etc.

Miz and Morrison are both mid carders at best.

Bryan is a mid carder at best, with no personality.

Austin vs Orten would make no sense as they are both huge faces. If Orten isn't wearing the title by next year, btw, its complete BS. He's the best in the WWE by far right now.

Taker vs. McMahon as his last match and his 20-0 would make me vomit. Don't go out like that.

And i don't care who Shameus faces, but he damn sure better be in contention for the world title by next year because he's too good to be doing what he's doing right now.

I'd like to see Swagger pushed into contention for the world title by next year too. Love the guy's personality and he's a really big dude, and great competitor.

Taker vs Vince in what would be an epic WM for him is a ridiculous idea...Mark would crush him in a NY second and there would be NO suspense to a match like that. At this point it is billed as "is this the year he loses?" and there would be none of that with Vince.

I doubt Mark would go for that and yes I do think he has some say in the matter..

I'm not disappointed. I can't remember them ever doing this but there has to be a reason for them announcing this match a full year in advance. What that would be I do not know but that's the rub..what's important is what they do between now and the time the match arrives. How do they keep people interested in that main event for a whole year? Fans are always going to care about Taker's streak...fans are going to care about belt matches.

I'm not sure what their angle is but they must have one.

Anything outside of at least a semi full schedule is a waste. That is simply too much time to put off a match, that you used this years biggest event to build up to, if one of the two isn't going to be around the majority of the time.
