Well it does help that unlike some of these other scrub wrestling shows. It's being shown on one of the top 3 baddest cable networks in USA.

That a little embarssing for the so called "Better" wrestling alternate. I mean I don't see networks lining up to run a show to find the next TNA star, then again I guess I'm just a WWE fanboy..

TNA on USA would pull a much bigger rating, it's the highest rated program on SPIKE weekly.
The Ultimate Fighter pulls 1.2million-1.6 million weekly with the biggest PPV draw in the modern era, Brock Lesnar on SPIKE TV.
TNA iMPACT pulls 1.5-2million viewers weekly on SpikeTV. Its the network, not the program, and thats a very fair analysis because of the Ultimate Fighter comparison.
On topic, I hate reality shows so I passed on watching Tough Enough, but with Stone Cold hosting I almost dvr'd it but my hatred of reality programs had me decide against it.

So your saying WWE' Tough Enough is almost 3x as popular as UFC' The Ultimate Fighter?
That'd be news to almost the entire world, its the network. Spike is much smaller than USA, USA is arguably the 3rd biggest network after Fox and CBS, and undoubtedly atleast the 5th biggest network after Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC.

Ummm...You realise WWE was on Spike and they drew much better than a 1.5 weekly.
You realise that, right?
There is a reason stations like USA don't want TNA (and they could have had them before they brought back WWE btw, if they'd wanted) and it's because TNA, no matter what station you put them on, isn't going to draw any better than what they do.
It's pretty simple really. WWE Tough Enough, full of a bunch of people who won't even make it into the business, draw twice as much as a regular TNA show does full of a bunch of guys who are supposedly amazing and have a superior product.
You should just quit even trying kid because every time you do the TNA product continues to prove otherwise.

Tough Enough pulled a 1.7 rating this week, so it dropped what? 1/3 of its audience in a week. lol.
USA is a much bigger network, lets not debate TNA here and instead put the Ultimate Fighter on USA, do you think it still pulls 1.2 million viewers? The answer is no.

And yet still draws more than TNA's regular show.
And of course you don't want to debate TNA here, and you want to instead use TUF cause it's a better show. Yeah it would draw better on USA cause it's BETTER THAN TNA as well.
Again. Read this carefully now. I know you're slow and it's hard for you to get things.
WWE was ON SPIKE and they DREW BETTER THAN THE 1.2 and 1.5 ratings that TNA draws on a pretty much weekly basis. In fact the majority of the time they drew DOUBLE that.
So, again, it's not the station. It's the fact that TNA sucks. TNA could be on USA right now and they'd struggle to pull the same 1.2 and 1.5s they currently get.

The rise in popularity of DVR's makes the comparison not completely far, and I use TUF because iMPACT outdraws it WEEKLY even with Lesnar on TUF.

The whole world knows that it's not "real competition" if that is what you mean by "fake".
It's sports entertainment, according to Mr. McMahon...
Anyway. "Fake"? No. Those folks in the ring are REALLY REALLY doing all those things to each other, and suffering many many injuries in the process. Witness the sudden retirement just this week of Edge due to lingering issues with spinal surgery caused by IN THE RING WRESTLING. Fake? I hardly think so. These people are superb athletes, and they HAVE to be in order to sell the show to the public. They have my deepest respect for what they do and are able to do, even to the point of having people like YOU thinking they have to point out to the rest of humanity that it's all "fake" as you say.
Irony is that it is not fake at all. Scripted? Yes. Outcome determined? Yes. (mostly....)
Fake? Oh, HELL no. Or if you doubt me, YOU get in the ring and do what those folks do and tell me it's "fake".
Even given a "script".

The outcome is fake. I just don't see the entertainment. Just speaking for myself. If you like it, then good for you. There's a lot of folks who like it. Lots of folks like Jerry Springer also. His show is also fake.

Oh of course. Yet another strawman excuse. Now it's cause of a rise in DVR's so the fact that WWE could pull double the ratings when it was there isn't completely fair.
You'll just make up any excuse to try and get around the fact that TNA is what it is. A secondary wrestling company that is absolutely no threat, what so ever, to the big dog. It never has been and it, in all likelyhood, never will be.

When RAW was on Spike pulling 3's, most network TV shows were pulling 3.5's-5's for orginal content.
Now TV shows are getting renewed for pulling 2's.
So lets say RAW would pull 70% of that 3, they'd be pulling around a 2.0 on Spike nowadays, TNA pulls 1.18(low end)-1.4 (high end).
That's not exact science, but comparing ratings from 7 or so years ago is just not fair with the across the board drop in ratings, USA network is one of the few networks that has risen.

Ah, the old 'don't you know it's fake?' argument.
IIRC, they did a poll asking this question to wrestling fans and something lik 96% said they realized it is 'fake.' I'd assume the 4% were small children (who probably shouldn't be polled) or people with low IQ's and considered 'slow' or mentally handicapped.
Sooooo...great, you get to pick on small children and the mentally handicapped because your knowledge that it's fake makes them the butt of the joke.
Of course, the pro wrestling defenders will refute this with how wrestling is very painful. They're right. Bouncing off the ropes 30 times or so will leave welts to most people the first time they try it. Body Slams don't tickle. And there's been plenty of wrestlers who have been legitimately paralyzed by a botched piledriver.
The problem I have with this argument is that's not why I like wrestling.
Wrestling is entertainment. Just like, at a basic level...watching the NFL or watching a show on TV.
I think if one were watching the Sopranos and said 'I can't believe people watch this stuff, don't you know it's fake? Don't you know they do not actually shoot people?' That person would look like a loon.
Wrestling is partly like a magic show and partially like a stunt man show and partially like any other show on TV. The wrestlers job is to make things look 'real' even when they are 'fake.' They also do some things that may hurt, but doesn't actually injure them...but like stunt men injuries are unavoidable. And like any other show, the audience has to suspend their beliefs on something.
Wrestling is hero worship. Much like comic books are hero worship. I don't care about comic books and rarely see movies based on comic books, but given how much those movies earn in gross revenue every time they come out....there's a lot of hypocrites out there who bash wrestling because it's 'fake.'
And in reality, that's what the NFL is about....hero worship. Just like you may see a fan wearing a shirt of his favorite wrestler, we have tons of football fans wearing the jersey of their favorite football player.
I actually don't watch wrestling anymore unless there is nothing on and I have spare time. I just don't find it as entertaining as it once was. It has nothing to do with 'growing up', it's just the quality and the direction of pro wrestling isn't the same and I don't enjoy it as much. But, I'm not going to sit there and say 'don't you know it's fake?'

I'd be willing to bet any amount of money that i've got that WWE could go on Spike next week and still out draw TNA. I have no doubt about that fact at all. They'd draw double what TNA does, hands down.
