Bryant reached a settlement with a New York-based jeweler over non-payment for $246,000 worth of jewelry.

Fortunately, Cowboys receiver Dez Byrant is no longer defending himself against two jewelry lawsuits. According to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, Bryant has settled the claim filed last month based on allegations that Bryant failed to pay a pending bill of $246,000 for $267,000 in jewelry purchased from January through May 2010.

Yeah, I'm sure that going public wouldn't have been the Jeweler's first choice for resolving the outstanding debt. Wasn't very prudent of Dez to let it rise (or fall) to this level. Hopefully, this was a good lesson in many ways for him.
