Last night, word emerged that NFLPA* executive director DeMaurice Smith won’t be attending Tuesday’s mediation session at federal court in Minnesota. due to a family medical emergency.

Now, Albert Breer of NFL Network reports that NFLPA* outside counsel Jeffrey Kessler won’t be there (http://twitter.com/#!/AlbertBreer/status/60335991403196416), either. No reason has been given for his absence.

Maybe the player's representatives, although NOT a Union, hadn't completed 'homework' assignments adequately and were awaiting a Fed Ex delivery from an 'outside' source.

Or maybe they were still attempting to act as a Union and even started to quack again.
