High praise from Saban for Ingram. He calls Ingram the best RB he's ever coached. Also says rumors of a lingering knee injury are complete bunk and were put out to drive him down to a team that wants him.

I know it doesn't look like we are going RB in the first round but in drafting for need, I hope we don't look back one day with regret for passing on a guy who is an every down Heisman Trophy running back and can tote the rock the way Emmitt used to do it.

I'm not wanting to out of our way to get him, but I'm down if he falls around #40. I could give up a 5th or 6th to move a little. Provided someone else I like more hasn't fallen.

I would trade back to 17 and take him. That was my original mock.

If you believe in a guy, you believe in a guy. I'd do something like that for Sherrod because I think he's going to be a good tackle in this league. If you see star potential in Ingram, then it makes sense.

That said, I'm not quite as high on Ingram as you are. He would be a great add to this squad though.

If the Cowboys scouts think he's another Emmitt, they are crazy if they don't draft him.

He's going to be a outstanding... Speed is overrated to me, he can break long runs.

There are rumors he's falling. If by some chance he's there for us in the second round, I'd be disappointed if we don't take him.

But in the first round? No. We simply have bigger needs.

I still think New England takes him with one of their first 3 picks, if Miami passes on him at 15

If somehow he fell in our laps at 40, I'd be pretty happy though. I like this kid alot.

I think we need a real running back.

We have 1, we need to get someone to replace the other two scrubs.

Yeah, I love Ingram's game and would like to end up with the guy. The only way I can figure that we would is if we take an OT with a trade down from 9 and then trade back up to the end of round 1 (from 40) to take Ingram.

Ingram won't last past pick #33 (pats) and if they want to try to let him slide to that 33 pick, maybe we could hop in front of them and take Ingram.

Doubt it would happen, but I'd like it if it did.

That's how I see it too. Would love to get him, but really sincerely doubt it'll happen

We have 1

Who? I like Felix but I see him as a spot weapon not a full time Rb.

I would love to get Ingram, but we have so many holes, and if we don't add to our aging Oline what would be the point?

I would however LOVE to get Daniel Thomas of KState. I think he is going to be a monster in this league. Sort of like Blount last year with Tampa, but better. This kid put up good numbers every year on a horrible team, in fact he was really there only offensive weapon at times.

Felix is a very good player, he played with too much weight last yr and needs to play closer to what he did his first two yrs here.

Ingram hasnt ever really been a "fulltime" runner either, he's split carries at Alabama much like Jones has here and previously at Arkansas.

I think it would be an ideal situation for us as both players are used to a 2 back system.

Ingram will never be half the player Emmit was. We have no interest in getting this team back on track if we take Ingram.

Garrett seems to worship Saban, so I wouldn't doubt it if we took him.

BTW, who's the second best back Saban would have coached at his various stops?

I'm with Aven8 on Thomas, though. That's the type of back we need.

If Ingram was half the player Emmitt was, he'll be damn good.
