If it happens once, it's chance. If it happens twice, it's bad luck. Three or more times, you're the common denominator.
Not that it's the draft forum, but if JJ Watt ever got stabbed by a woman, it would probably be him breaking up a fight vs. instigating it. This is why character is more important than ever on draft day.

Best wishes to Marshall and his Family.
Wow, this is a strange story. I suppose it happens more then we like to admit, but this is a celebrity so its splashed across the net.
Hope everyone involved comes out ok and justice is served where its needed.
Just glad I dont have that kind of drama in my life. Sometimes its better to be poor and unknown.

If you read the SI article about the death of Broncos CB Darrent Williams, nothing that happens to Marshall will surprise you. The bullets that killed Williams were intended for Marshall.
Violence follows the guy everywhere he goes. We obviously don't know if he has any blame in this incident but trouble follows him everywhere he goes.
I hope he realizes the path he is on and changes his ways before he ends up in the morgue.

Michi Marshall admits to stabbing, claims self-defense (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/23/michi-marshall-admits-to-stabbing-claims-self-defense/)
Posted by Mike Florio on April 23, 2011, 11:33 AM EDT
For an NFL media corps starved to cover something other than the lockout or the draft, the stabbing of Brandon Marshall (http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=NFL&id=3653) has become the equivalent of a steer wading into a piranha pond. (I call left rear thigh.)
Amid a flurry of reports popping up almost by the minute on Twitter, Andrew Carter of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel writes that, according to the police report, Marshall’s wife, Michi, has admitted to stabbing her husband with a kitchen knife (http://twitter.com/#!/andrew_b_carter).
She claims that the act was committed in self-defense.

Wanna say either HBO or ESPN had a story a couple years ago about him abusing women. Maybe one fought back.

Much easier to charge aggravated assault with deadly weapon. Attempted Murder I guess you would have to prove intent to kill. Still ~25+ yrs I think in Texas. Not a lawyer I am just rambling.

Sounds like a teed off wife stabbed him. Did we read two different OPs?
There is one red flag though....hasn't Marsxhall been accussed of domestic abuse before? I was thinking he had.
Of course his wife has also been accussed of threaning him with a knife before--unless it was a different wife.

Might be a Lebron James situation where he just needs a person to have kids with, she gets to live the lifestyle, and he gets to do sex with other girls on the side.

He had a history before they married. She should have known about his anger management issues. It would be smarter to leave him then do something dramatic like this. She is lucky he didn’t retaliate or that he didn’t die from the wound. Hopefully it is an eye opener for both of them.

Brandon Marshall's ex-gf has talked to the media about the multiple beatings she received at the hands of Marshall. One night, he came in drunk and stabbed her in the thigh. She had a friend take her to the ER to get stitched up and when they were leaving, Brandon Marshall came at their vehicle with a brick. Her terrified call to 9-1-1 is on this video. The video is just below the article:

I don't think that's what he said. I think he was merely saying that a person needs to be smart enough to see that there is a pattern of behavior that they need to get away from. Doesn't mean they deserve to get beat, but it does mean they aren't being very smart.
If a gay man walks through a meeting of sknheads he will probably be beaten. He doesn't deserve it, but he darn sure could have avoided it.
