DON’T SLEEP ON …

Lee Smith, Marshall. The 6-6, 266-pound Smith is the best blocking tight end in the draft, and it stands to reason: His late father, Daryle, played six seasons in the NFL as an offensive lineman with the Cowboys, Browns and Eagles, making the Cowboys roster in 1987 as an undrafted rookie free agent. (Daryle Smith died of pancreatic complications in February, 2010.) Smith began his college career at Tennessee but was dismissed from the team following a DUI arrest as an incoming freshman in August 2006. He ended up at Marshall and caught a career high 38 passes for 358 yards and three TDs as a senior last year, although his specialty remains his blocking – an area that figures to allow him to play right away as a rookie.
