Dang it, I was hoping we'd be able to take a flyer on the kid. Not this early, though.

Oh well.........................

A flyer? Last week he has the testicular cancer report.

Otherwise his talent has been clearly evident of at least a 2nd round prospect.

Is he going to suddenly lose that talent this season or the next?

We take chances on guys with knee problems that haven't started at LT or ILB in a 3-4.

But we won't take a 4th round shot at a player that clearly can play guard and possibly RT.

Now we look for safe picks? 4th round down? LOL!

I'm no payed professional but I do understand philosophy.

Apparently we play safe in the later rounds this year and take risks in the ealrier higher paid rounds.

OK.

If anyone tells me Tyron Smith at # 9 is a solid surefire pick, Bruce Carter at #2 with his injury and inexperience in a 3-4 system and Demarco Murray with his multiple injuries and undefined rushing style, are surefire safe picks in the first 3 rounds? Than I have to wonder on where that perspective is coming from.

At least against the general consensus from writers, draftniks and so called professionals building up the to the draft. I'm sure someone will play stupid and ask where that statement comes from as well.

I don't mind taking chances as it is necessary, but why not 3rd round down? Not start playing safe 4th round down. Just don't get that philosophy.

Cannon is guy was worthy of a 4th round pick with the philosophy used in the previous 3 rounds by this team. I'm tired of poor drafts from an owner who wants to act as a GM and has for almost 20 years, since Jimmy really made the picks when he was here, making a mess at building a team through the draft.

Hope to see this guy pull through.

I'm glad someone took him.

He went a couple picks before our pick in the 5th. Wonder if they were going to take a flyer on him.

If the injury picking trend would have continued, I have no doubt Dallas would have taken him at some point.

You got a crystal that tells you he'll fully recover or won't go into remission? No? I thought so. Hence, the flyer. But, thanks for playin'.

Honestly I'm not impressed with their draft.

They have had their share of clunkers prior to this year.
