During the season we were hovering around 2000 the whole year. Since it ended we have hit 3000...what gives?

Probably those that need a Cowboys fix... the site becomes a Cowboys Crack Dealer...

We always get a large number of people coming in around FA and Draft time.

There are also those who have been lurkers who decide to join and add in a comment or two. :)

Outside of this being a good site for cowboys info, I've got a cpl friends who've had to join because of the server conversion. They were lurking for awhile and when the zone changed servers, they got re-routed to a sign in or register page.

I would guess the main reason is because you have to log in now at Cowboys Zone to read the site. You used to be able to read the threads without having to log in. No one can lurk anymore and I'm sure Cowboys fans want to read the free agent signings and trade rumors threads.
