IRVING, Texas - If you look at the wide receiver position with a quick glance, you can't help but notice talent. Not only that, but some high-priced name value as well.

Within the top three, there are two $9 million-per-year players and another first-round draft pick who might have more talent than anyone at the position, possibly the rest of the team, and could arguably be considered one of the NFL's next superstars.

Obviously the latter would be Dez Bryant, but Miles Austin and Roy Williams make up a very established receiving corps - if that's what the Cowboys decide to do once free agency ever begins....

I believe Olgetree will step it up in 2011.

1. Miles Austin (proven playmaker)...solid and productive

2. Roy Williams (possession receiver, good in red zone, moves the chains with the slant, best run blocker)

3. Dez Bryant (should have been #2, but missing camp time again will hurt him in the running game and nuances...he doesn't need to start...he just needs to be on the field every time we drop back to pass)

4. Dwayne Harris (the rookie slot receiver will become a fan favorite and #2 security blanket behind Witten...will move the chains between the 20's)

5-6 (Ogletree/T. Williams; Johnson)...I think Teddy Williams sticks around another year for development and special teams potential...either Ogletree or Johnson will be odd man out, imo.

Dez, Miles, RW. That's a no brainer, even for most RW haters.
I believe Harris will be the 4th. If not at first, but definately by mid season or so, maybe 10 games.
Ogletree, who I am stil not that high on, will fight it out will either Holley, even though I'm not all that high on him either.

I wouldn't doubt if a veteren FA is brought in to compete, depth, until Harris takes over. If that happens, maybe another rookie FA stepsup and shows some potenetial.

Ogletree & Holley need to show something more, KO had his chances last year, and didn't show it, or wasn't given the opportunity, and maybe for a reason.

I'm not sure about any of the others, nothig seememd to stand out about them, as things did for other WR. Like Austin, you could see it and his potential. I don't se that in any others.

Eatman likes to make this argument. I think he's selling Hurd and Ogletree short, and overestimating how much talent is on an NFL roster at the 5-7 WR positions. We're in pretty good shape at WR, and have a year to let a player develop before we decide whether or not we need to sign another player as a replacement for Roy Williams next year.
