Yeah, that's just crazy. Reportedly, Isner and Mahut both pleaded to not have to play on the same court again (18 I think), but then they go and get matched again. What a riot.:D

Yep. Tsonga was too tough today. I think I heard this is first time ever that Federer lost a match after leading 2-0 in sets.

I only saw the first two sets and it looked like Roger was in control. I was stunned when I heard on the radio that he lost. Tsonga was making a lot of mistakes early in the match. Here's hoping the Final is still awesome.

In a major yes.
A sure sign of the apocalypse, Federer losing back to back QF in London and after being ahead 2-0 in sets.

Djokovic looked pretty good today too, despite not being able to have his poodle with him :laugh2:
I think Novak will play Tsonga next, right? That should be a really fun match to watch.

Poor Murray. He's SO good. How unlucky for him that Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer are out there though.
Poor England. Their last men's champ at Wimbledon was what? 1938?
Listened to the British broadcast team while watching...Boris Becker in the booth. Oh man does he suck as a commentator.
Looking forward to Rafa vs. Novak on Sunday. Gonna be AWESOME.

Murray is Scottish. :) And he won't win a Grand Slam tournament if he plays 'til his 100!

That inside out forehand, he is just killing the lines. Nadal looks like he is losing his composure.

Djokovic is on another level, Nadal still occasional gets his perfect shots in and Djokovic just counters with the impossible.

Meh. This is the first time I've watched much of Djokovic, and I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. Top player, sure. Totally deserved to win. Best player going right now. But I thought he had more of an all-around game.
And it's not his (or their) fault, but I hate that guys at Wimbledon, especially in the final, can sit back and hit groundstrokes all day. Very boring and disappointing.

Did you watch the first 2 sets? Those were pretty impressive...Do you prefer the hard courts?

Serve and volley is kinda a victim to these baseliners. It isn't that they can't do it but that they are way too good at hitting wicked forehands like Djokovic's. Both those guys are hella fast and hit pinpoint shots.

I started watching at the end of the first set.
Obviously you can't blame these players for doing what they are best at. What I really meant was that you used to have to serve and volley and come in at least part of the time because the bounces were so uneven, especially later in the tournament. Even all-time great clay courters like Borg had to adapt their game to the tournament... Now these guys just sit back and rally like they're on a typical hard court. Even McEnroe mentioned how the T used to be totally browned out by the second week of the tournament, and now it's only the baseline that gets a workout.
It takes away a lot of the charm of the tournament if you ask me.

Well I enjoyed the matches. Novak is just incredible right now. Those two 6-1 sets, one each way, were weird though.
Thought Maria would pull off the women's title, but no. Looks like she is back though. The Williams sisters did well but it's just too soon to expect a Finals appearance for either in my opinion.
