.WHAT CM PUNK SAID AT THE END OF RAW INCLUDING MENTIONS OF COLT CABANA, PAUL HEYMAN, BROCK LESNAR, NEW JAPAN, RING OF HONOR, AND THE MCMAHON FAMILY
by Richard Trionfo @ 11:53 PM on 6/27/2011
Here is what CM Punk said after the R Truth/John Cena match on tonight’s episode of Raw. This is not a full transcript of what he said, but covers what he said.
Punk takes a seat as he tells John Cena that while he lays there hopefully as uncomfortably as he can possibly be. He wants Cena to digest some of the things that Punk wants to get off his chest before he leaves in three weeks with Cena’s title. He doesn’t hate John and he actually likes John. He says that he likes Cena a hell of a lot more than most of the people in the back.
He hates the idea that Cena is the best because he is not. Punk says that he is the best and the best in the world. There is one thing that Cena is better at and that is kissing Vince McMahon’s ***.
Punk says that Cena is just as good as Hulk Hogan was. He doesn’t know if Cena is as good as Dwayne because he is a pretty good *** kisser and still is. Punk says that he is breaking the fourth wall and he waves to the camera. Punk reiterates that he is the best wrestler in the world. He has been the best since day one when he walked into the company and he has been vilified and hated since that day because Paul Heyman saw something in him that nobody else wanted to admit.
Punk says that he is a Heyman guy and he says that another person who was a Paul Heyman man was Brock Lesnar. Brock split just like he is splitting. Punk says that the biggest difference between him and Brock is that he is leaving with the WWE Championship.
Punk says that he has grabbed at so many of Vince McMahon’s imaginary brass rings that it dawned on him that they are completely imaginary and the only thing that is real is him. The fact that day in and day out for almost six years he has proven to everybody in the world that he is the best. He is the best on the microphone, in the ring, and even on commentary. Nobody can touch him.
Yet no matter how many times he has proven it, he is not on the lovely little collector cups, he’s not on the cover of the program, he’s barely promoted, he doesn’t get to be in movies, he certainly not on any crappy programs on USA Network. He isn’t on the poster for Wrestlemania, he isn’t on the signature that’s produced at the start of the show. He’s not on Conan O’Brien, he isn’t on Jimmy Fallon. Punk says that he should be.
He says that this isn’t sour grapes. The fact that Dwayne is in the main event of Wrestlemania next year and he isn’t makes Punk sick. Punk wants everyone who was cheering him to know that they are the biggest part of him leaving as anyone else.
Punk says that they are sipping out of those collector cups, buy those programs that his face isn’t on the cover of. Then at five in the morning, at the airport, you shove it in my face for an autograph so you can sell it on eBay because you are too lazy to get a real job.
Punk says that he is leaving with the WWE Championship on the 17th. Who knows, maybe I’ll defend it in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Maybe I’ll go back to Ring of Honor. Hey Colt Cabana, how ya doing.
Punk says that he is leaving because of the people. After he is gone, they are going to continue to pour money into this company. Punk says that he is just a spoke on the wheel and the wheel is going to keep on turning and he understands that.
Vince McMahon is going to make money despite himself. Vince is a millionaire who should be a billionaire. He says that it is because he surrounds himself with glad handing, nonsensical, (word was omitted, but sounded a lot like d-bag), yes men like John Laurinaitis who is going to tell him everything that he wants to hear.
Maybe this company will be better after Vince McMahon is dead, but the fact is that it’s gonna get taken over by his idiotic daughter and his doofus son-in-law and the rest of his stupid family.
Let me tell you a personal story about Vince McMahon. We do this whole bully campaign . . .
At this point Punk’s mic is turned off and he gestures about being silenced by the WWE and then they go to credits.
.WHAT HAPPENED AFTER RAW WENT OFF THE AIR (AND IT HAS TO DO WITH CM PUNK)
by Richard Trionfo @ 11:16 PM on 6/27/2011
After Raw went off the air, Michael Cole announced to the crowd in Las Vegas that WWE has suspended CM Punk indefinitely.
Thanks to Bill Peterson for the report.
And as next weeks RAW is taped, not live I already know what has happened (you can too by going on PWInsider.com & it Is the end of PUNK in the wwe)

WWE ANNOUNCES PUNK SUSPENSION, VINCE MCMAHON COMMENTS
by Mike Johnson @ 12:30 AM on 6/28/2011
WWE issued the following:
Raw’s abrupt conclusion Monday night was not due to technical difficulties. The decision to suddenly end the broadcast in that manner was made by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, who gave this quote to WWE.com:
“CM Punk was suspended indefinitely for his unprofessional conduct as soon as Raw went off the air.”
With his WWE contract expiring on July 17, one can only assume that this suspension effectively terminates CM Punk’s tenure with WWE.

He has no speed, no power, nothing special about him at all. He's a stick figure who's lucky that he gets the name recognition that he has from all his time in the business.

Saying everyone pretty much knew what was going to happen (which is true) and then saying the WWE is taking chances again are contradictory statements. Aside from that promo, which was pretty cool, they have the same guys facing each other week in and week out, doing the same 5 moves each, with generally the same outcomes and no advancement in the fueds at all.
I thought it was just smackdown, but after watching Raw tonight, i see they arn't innocent of it either. The best part of the entire show (besides the awesome Punk promo) was either the tornado tag match with Swagger, Riley, etc.. or the promo where Michaels comes in and superkick's Macyntyre with the one and only.. D. D. P.

That part wasnt up yet, your right it's a work. Historic angle last night, and next weeks main event segment looks insane as well. Problem is next week is taped so instead of the rating being popped it will probably even out at the same old 3.1 3.2, which is a shame.

Of course it was a worked shoot. R2A was just markin' hard last night thinking it was a shoot.
Paul Heyman, Joey Styles, JBL .. tons of guys have gotten permission for worked shoots over the years and said some pretty controversial things that made people think it was a shoot.
Granted Vince was probably shocked himself that Punk said a couple of the things he did. But once Vince seen how people were buzzin' about the promo, I would guess the old man was grinning from ear to ear.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Viewership does not directly correlate with personal enjoyment. Hell, you don't even need great ratings in other countries in order to be shown. That isnt how it works at all. The WWE doesnt give a crap about how many people watch so long as they get the broadcast revenue. The only people who would care about the ratings are the networks, but many small countries don't even monitor ratings and others simply want to have "American" TV to show, both because American tourism is one of the world's leading industries and because people are curious about the culture of America. You'd be foolish to think that most peiople who watch WWE in other countries are actually natives who watch t because they can't get enough.

Whether or not wrestling is stupid has nothing to do w/ America. Who cares what England thinks? Why so insecure?
The entire world gobbles up our culture and entertainement. Let them pick and choose what parts of it they want
The people who like wrestling are probably more entertained by the stroylines and characters then the actual wrestling. I know thats how it usually was for me when I was a kid.

England actually loves WWE. They tour their all the time and always sell out arenas over in Europe when they go.
WWE has and will continue to have a huge global fanbase. So the same countries that criticize us, are the same ones buying into our culture and entertainment, as you said mb. They're just as hypocritical as we are.

People who don't like wrestling don't look at it as proof that America is stupid, my girlfriend for example thinks I'm stupid for watching it not that America is for producing it. The biggest company on the planet happens to be american but there are federations based in most countries. I know of at least 3 for example here in Scotland so it would be pretty ridiculous to claim its an american thing. Since you brought up Mexico it would probably be worth you checking the history of wrestling in that country before deciding what impact wrestling being popular in yours has on their opinion of you.
French talk shows may well mock Jerry Springer, I know it gets mocked here, to be fair it also gets mocked in the U.S. does it not? I've never spent much time in France but I know in this country we have shows like http://www.itv.com/lifestyle/jeremykyle/ so Jerry Springer and its audience are mocked not the country for having his show.
Also just thought i'd mention that in 29 years of watching the BBC most days I can't say I know what humorous segments you're referring to.
Without going into the politics of it or giving any opinions on it I think its fair to say that American foreign policy has more of a bearing on how you are viewed as a country by others than whether or not you watch wrestling.

People in England as a general rule don't watch the NBA. It doesn't mean anything other than basketball, unlike the WWE, isn't particularly popular in that country.
I think you're over estimating how important other people think you are. Most countries do not buy the rights to broadcast WWE so that American tourists will visit which seems to be your argument. If locals didn't watch it then TV companies would not buy it. I'd also doubt that Americans who are on holiday in London will choose to sit up until 4 o'clock on a Monday night/Tuesday morning to watch Raw, I certainly don't see them staying up in the numbers required for the biggest sports broadcasting network in the country to show it live just to accommodate them. We do get some terrible American shows broadcast here but that means that we "just want American TV shows" no more than terrible domestic programming means we're xenophobic regarding our TV programming or we're obsessed by Australian shows because we have a lot of Aussie **** on our teles.
I will agree that WWE doesn't care about marketing to an international audience. That's not a criticism, their money predominantly comes from the U.S. so they are entirely correct to focus on that market and change it slightly when on tour.
People see it, laugh and think that is what America is. It's part of their perception of us. You ever flip through the channels, see one of those off the wall Mexican game shows and think "what the hell is wrong with them"? Mexico sees the WWE and wonders what the hell is wrong with us. You know how American talk shows joke about France being pansies and surrendering easily? Well French talk shows mock Springer and pro wrestling and associate that with America. During my time in Europe in college I saw it all the time. The BBC has humorous segments dedicated to American crap like that.
Terrible example, Pro wrestling is about a billion times more popular in Mexico then anywhere else on the planet.

McIntyre has the most potential though, from what ive seen he has Cena, Austin etc; level potential. He has that unique good looks, that special trait(awesome accent), good in the ring & he seems to be great on the stick. He has it all.
When he first came on he was supposedly the next big thing...that fizzled out quickly. Now he's basically just midcard..maybe they still have big plans for him.

LMFAO!!!! They laugh at USA for wrestling, in Mexico?
You mean that country where they have a HUGE lucha libre following and tons of people watch and enjoy wrestling?
This is why people who don't watch, and don't like it, shouldn't bother coming into threads about wrestling to give their two cents on the subject. Almost every time their two cents isn't even worth that because they are clueless as to what they're talking about.
I mean whats next? You gonna try and sell people that they don't watch, or like, wrestling in Japan either? lol

Don't think for a second that Vince McMahon is not thankful the Rock fell into his lap (seeing as Rocky Johnson was part of the roster and Dwayne hung out with his dad throughout the years).
I guarantee if you ask everyone in the locker room that they will say The Rock is one of the best things to ever happen to the WWE and wrestling in general.
I'm curious as to what you mean by him being overrated. As a in-ring performer? No, he's not Kurt Angle or Dean Malenko as far as being the most technical wrestler, but you are mistaken if you think that makes a superstar in professional wrestling.
It's about entertainment and there is/was nobody better at it than the Rock.

Right.
His wallet, and the people hiring him and making money off the movies he's in would disagree.
He can make 10 million or more a movie, or whatever it is he makes, and that is about 3 times the amount he'd make wrestling 300+ days a year.
Yeah. Terrible move on his part. LOL!

His criteria and logic when it comes to wrestling has been proven to be so far off, so many times, that it's not even worth debating with him. The sooner everyone puts him on ignore, where he's talking to himself, the better. Then he'll go back to the 'wrestling forums' where the lemmings all agree with him.
Don't get me wrong I'm all for people liking different things and having different tastes. But I prefer people with actual opinions, and not something some forum or wrestling magazine told them was the truth, than someone who comes in here acting like everything he says and 'knows' is fact cause PWI Insider told him so.
Roy is a much better poster, and someone I enjoy discussing this with, and we don't necassarily agree on everything.

Totally different levels and I'm not surprised, given your other posts, how you don't even comprehend that.
The Rock's movies go TO THE MOVIES. Austin's movies go directly to DVD. Outside The Expendables (Probably spelled that wrong) which went to the theatre cause of Stalone and some of the other guys.

Seems that the fans that drop hard-earned cash and keep the WWE afloat are fond of those corny phrases since they "sing-a-long" to all of them.
I respect your opinion about not liking the Rock. There's many out there that feel the same way, but to say that is the popular opinion is just not true.
To put it into perspective, when both Stone Cold and The Rock left the WWE, I left as well. Take a poll...you'll see I wasn't the only one. In fact, check the TV ratings for the last decade or so.
