I've never read any of them, but it said that some are very good.
Here is a blog post about it (http://newebookreleases.blogspot.com/2011/06/science-fiction-6212011-6282011-star.html).

The Prequels ruined star wars for me. Not interested in any of the series anymore. I've read like 30+ Star Wars books, and I will likely never read another after the Prequels **** all over certain books.

If you like military SF style novels, the X Wing series is pretty good. Stackpole, Allston, and Zahn are probably the best, most consistent Star Wars novelists.
Kevin Anderson is on my personal 'hack writer' list, and his Star Wars stuff pretty much shows it.
The Future Story of the novels are in the time that the third series of movies would have shown. Probably a good thing that Lucas isn't doing them, given what we've seen.

Agreed. Love the X-Wing series. They're still my go to rereads if I can't find anything good to read. Stackpole does a good job with pushing along the SW universe and the taking of Coruscant; and I love Allston's character development and humor. I highly recommend them.
