You may choose more than one option.

I know it doesn't sound right but,
RB
I think consistency on the O will kill us this year. Especially in the running and passing game. I think they will both be on a roller coaster.

And that all revolves around the play of the QB. Go figure.
QB is the weakest link! Good-Bye!

running game (either the offensive line or HB).

AT this point, I think you have to say it's QB.
We have a starter returning that the coaching staff is unsure of.
We have our primary candidate for back-up injured.
We have an undrafted second year guy who has zero game experience.
We have a 2nd year guy who has never played in the NFL and has been away from the game for 4 years.
I believe that eventually, this will end up as a strenght of the team but right now, I think you have to say that it's the weakest link on the team.

I do not think there will be any weak links on Offense, but if I had to choose I would say FB.
Wait, DTand The safeties, in coverage.

Actually, it all starts and ends with the Offensive and Defensive lines. Winning those battles.

Oh man, I can't answer this. At least on the offense. The censors would light up like a christmas tree.
Defense I think our weakest area is the CB opposite Newman or potentially DT next to Glover.
Special teams weakness is the return game. We need better execution. I have hope for whomever the punter is that he can improve on 30 yard punts or that would be my vote for weakest link on ST.

How about a little magic to fix that for you?
New feature that this was the first time trying. Merged two threads into one.
We should try this for the QB wars threads huh?

Yes...that would be a great tool to use on the QB debates. ;)

You know, I said it in jest, but I actually might do it when they are out of hand.

We don't have FS, maybe Davis but would he last all year after playing in NFLE.
We are also very thin at CB.

There are still plenty of questions on the offensive line. Is Larry Allen going to be back and if so, what does he have left? Will Johnson be fully recovered from his injury? Even if he is, he is still basically a rookie. Will Gurode finally show up? Who will rise up to man the right tackle position? Will any of the rookies or other young guys step up and contribute? I even question if Flozell can put together two good years?
The offensive line is always the most important(yet least respected) parts of a football team. A great line can make a poor QB or RB look good and win games. It will still take a good QB to win the Superbowl, but a great QB can not make a below average line look good.

But the question is, what is the weakest link. I don't think you can look at the offensive line or the defensive line and say either one is it at this point.
The OL played about average in my estimation last year. We should be healthier this year with more experience and we added two quality players through the draft.
The DL played very well against the run last year but poorly against the pass IMO. This year, we added Wiley, a veteran who is a definate upgrade, we lost Ek, addition by subtraction if you will, and our DT rotation is another year older. To me, neither can be considered the weakest link.

IMO, the o-line as a unit and the running back were weaker than the qb last year. If they surpass the qb this year, the cowboys offense should be pretty solid.

Funny everyone last year had 500 things as a weak link some came true some did not
Why because some of the young guys steped up and got better
We still have questions at CB; Dline;Oline;WR;QB;LB etc etc
Why because how are the new pieces going to fit which young guys are going to step up
Is Wiley the new man there are lots and lots of questions only time will tell if we are stronger than last year.

AJM voted for all of them. dont understand the concept of weakest do ya?
I look at the OL and say we have one for sure really good player- Flozell, and a bunch of "Maybes".
Maybe the draft choices Rogers and Peterman hold down positions and become really good players.
Maybe Goroude will get better and become the player everyone thought he would be when he was drafted.
Maybe Allen will get in shape, return to form, and actually earn his Pro Bowl spot.
Maybe Al Johnson will come back for his injury and nail down the center position.
Maybe Lehr, Dinaploi, Tucker, Vollers, Collins etc will become capable backups or even serviceable starters.
Unfortunately, we just don't know. If one or more of those things don't happen, then all the improvement in the world from QB and RB and WR won't matter that much.
Looks like in need to read the other posts becuase I think I pretty much repeated what some body else already said. Sorry.

At this point I'd go with Offensive line. By far actually. We've got questions at LG, C, RG, and RT. It doesn't matter who is at QB, if our OL isn't up to par it won't matter. Will Larry Allen continue to degress? Is Al Johnson healthy? Even if he is healthy he's still a question mark. We don't know if he can play or not, and he'd basically be a rookie anyway. Will Gurode finally "Get it"? Who will be the RT?
We already know who our Starting QB, RB, TE, and WRs are. We don't know about the OL. We don't know who the starters will be, and we don't know how they'll play whenever whoever ends up being the starters. Our DL is better then last year. LBs will be the same. DBs will be a bit better with Roy and Newman getting more experience, and Hunter will be better, IMO, then Edwards by week 4 or 5.
OL is the weakest link by far.

Oline the weakest I don't know, I guess we will have a good idea in training camp.
But I agree there are lots of questions.
Our Oline is like the DBs, we still don't know what we have.

Specifically Larry Allen. Gurode, Vollers and the others need to cut down on the penalties. Larry has just got to go, he can not stop anyone.
The second weakest link on the team is the defensive line. No pass rush at all causing the linebackers to have to move up and make the plays. Curly

I don't have a clue what the weakest link of this years team will be. I can't predict the future that well. But one thing I do know is the BP and JJ are all over this team. They will find out what needs to be improved and fix it next off season. Just in time for our Superbowl run! We are getting closer. The time for our return is drawing near. :D
