Remember him from 2009 playoffs? Multiple sources are reporting. He is looking at houses not too far from me later this week.

you always seem to be up to date on players that are either rumored or speculated coming to Philly. What Ray just knows someone isnt going to give him a job and hes looking for something to do in Philly? Why report on every little rumor the eagles either do or have?
Colombo is getting cut, we'll be fine :laugh2:

I live in the area, so I hear it. That is why.

He had the game of his career against us. Outside of that he is Greg Ellis at best.
Solid 7-8 sacks a year. But can he do it alone? He's always had Allen opposite.

No one else is impressed if the eagles do sign him. Its a non story.

They've got Cole and just drafted the Michigan kid a couple of yrs ago. I'd heard Edwards to Atlanta, but Atlanta decided it was more important to keep thier offensive line intact.

I thought Edwards was a pretty good strong side DE in a 4-3. He's not All-Pro but he's better then anything they have and he's only 26.

That was an awful performance. That performance was about as bad as Rob Pettiti's final game in Dallas.

Edwards fits right in the mold of what the Eagles like in their DEs.

He's better than what the Eagles have so they improve. If they get DRC, they get better at that position as well.
Gonna be a tough team, I think.

I'm pretty sure they'll take an NFC wildcard. With us taking the East of course.

He's a below average DE. He took advantage of a hobbled Marc Colombo in that playoff game.

I had very little knowledge of him prior to that game. He looked like the reincarnation of Lawrence Taylor that day.

Don't be ignorant.
Ray Edwards is a quality DE. Not spectacular, but he'll get you around 8 sacks and plays the run very well. Greg Ellis type production.
He was one of the top pass rushers last season according to PFF.

Disagree. It's an upgrade over what they have now

you would know, tho i dont think he is nor does the Vikings so only you and the Eagles think so. Frankily im not impressed with him but its everyones opinion that matters.

Michigan Kid it was just revealed had micro-fracture surgery in the offseason. Probably not going to contribute this year. That is why they are in need.

Very true. That defense is getting better. Offense is already dynamic. Very dynamic.

Didn't see this post. I basically said the same thing.
Greg Ellis was a very solid DE for us... if Philly gets Ellis-like production out of him, they'll be happy.
