And no, I don't mean the Cowboys. It's going to be between Denver, Seattle and Washington.
Denver is ready to trade a decent QB who completes more than 60% of his passes, Seattle signed Tarvaris Jackson (if that doesn't say "rebuilding," I don't know what does) and Washington is willing to head into the season with John Beck as their supposed starting QB ... if they don't retain Grossman.

I think Denver really thinks Tebow is the real deal. I think Orton ends up in Miami.

Poor Orton. He gets replaced by Rex Grossman in Chicago. Even though he was better then Rex.
Goes to Denver, plays pretty well and is now getting replaced again by a guy he may be better then. (Elway had nothing good to say about Tebow). Which is why I'm so surprised they are trying to trade Orton.
Elway went to Stanford, Luck goes there.. Maybe he wants to give Tebow a year to shine hoping he can prove him wrong. But figures if he fails they are in good shape for Luck.

Did you think Sam Bradford did pretty good last year for the Rams as a rookie? And, he was losing receivers left and right. Don't discount what Luck could do for a team.

You must have misunderstood my question. There was no sarcasm to it.
I don't like the idea. It does concern me. You could be talking about the next Peyton Manning. I don't want him anywhere near D.C.

Every QB could be the next Manning. That franchise is so screwed up, it's like a player graveyard.

I don't think the skins will be the worst team in the NFL next year. They are going to spend money in free agency to improve their team. They may certainly be bottom 5 but not last place. And don't worry about them trading up for him. No team is trading the #1 pick next year.

Sorry about the misunderstanding. I, too, don't want to see him in a Skins jersey or any NFCE jersey. Dude is going to be good.

I have seen some QB's with more hype than Luck bust out of the pros. Worried about Luck in Washington? Not really because there is no such thing as a sure thing in the NFL

Just to finish with the 2nd or 3rd worst record. No team will trade away the 1st pick now that there is a rookie wage scale.

Why are we already talking about Luck? The season hasn't even started lol.
Leinart was a slam dunk can't go wrong #1 pick, then came back his senior year and showed he wasn't what he appeared. (Not saying Luck will have the same "luck" but its very possible).
Let's talk COWBOYS players!

Can't argue with that, but if Luck continues his upward progression he's going to enter the draft with a grade rivaling the John Elways and Peyton Mannings. I certainly don't want the Redskins to get their hands on that kind of prospect.
Here's to them winning 6 games next year.

Nix that. Washington is looking at Matt Leinart. If he signs, they will win the division.

I'm not worried at all. Anything can happen in the NFL. The season hasn't even started, the Redskins could go 0-4 in the preseason and then go 16-0 in the regular season (hope not, but you get the point.) Would it suck to see a talent like Andrew Luck in Washington? Sure, but it's nothing to be concerned about right now.

IDK. Their defense is just good enough to win them a few games and end up with the 3rd overall. Signing Smith to a one year extension says they're certainly kicking the tires on the Luck in 2012 bandwagon.

Tebow played pretty well. Denver will not pick first. Book it and expect an "I told you so" in January.

As of right now, you are looking at Washington, Buffalo, Miami, Seattle, Arizona in the sweepstakes.
Arizona could take itself out by getting Kolb. Miami may bring in VY, which would probably get them closer to 8 wins. We'll see what Seattle does, but if they sign Rice they will be in that 5+ win category, especially with that division.
Redskins and the Bills could be it. And I actually think Chan could get quite a bit out of Fitzgerald, but that division will be brutal

Of course. Why wouldn't someone be?
Getting what is considered one of the surest picks at QB in the last however many years and with the dirt cheap rookie salary.
I don't care how poor an organization is run, you bottle lightning with this kid and you have a franchise player for 12+ years.

Fact is, unless Colt McCoy has a stellar year, Cleveland will get A. Luck. They have picks galore(I believe they have 2 1sts, an extra 4th and could throw in a 1st from 2013) from the Atl trade this year, and record wise will be in a position to move to the 1st overall pick with them, especially if Carolina ends up with it as Carolina won't take another qb next year.
With rookie salaries now capped, I imagine that makes the top 8 picks much more tradeable.
(We will get a qb next year, but no way will we be in the Luck sweepstakes - for good or bad)

Luck is going to be really good and if Shanny could have him? yeah I wouldn't like that at all.

Agreed.
I think a few teams will really be in play for this.
Cleveland, Buffalo, Seattle, Arizona, Washington (Cause of no qb and the division they play in really helps them but probably not enough), Jacksonville, Carolina.
San Fran would like to be, without a doubt, but given their extremely weak division, and not having a totally inept team, they're going to play themselves right out of any chance for him.
Now Carolina is not drafting luck 1 year after drafting Newton. Just isn't going to happen. But they'll be looking for picks.
I think they're likely to wind up with the worst record and, if so, they'll deal. A team like Cleveland, with the fire power, would be willing if they're 3rd or 4th with a couple teams in front of them wanting a QB.
I'd say Cleveland has a great shot given their mess of a team, the division they're in, and the fire power they'll have come draft day even if they wind up at 3, 4, or 5.

Pfft. They still have WAY TOO many holes for a QB to come in and put them in a position to win the division.
Unless that comment was sarcasm...if it was...carry on.

If Chad Henne stays healthy, the Dolphins have a good shot at the top pick. Buffalo and SF are right there should the Dolphins go full wildcat.
I hope Luck ends up a Niner so that franchise can become relevant again.

From what I've seen so far in the preseason; my bet is on Carolina. Oakland should be a close 2nd.

No way they give up on Newton that early unless they are trading him for a high pick.
My bet so far, hate to say it, is Washington. I think their offense is going to be anemic.
Luck is a game changer. He's the type of QB who is going to play for 15 years.

The Bengals. They will be awful this year. Watch.

I don't think Washington will be bad enough.
Cincy has a shot. I expect them to try to get Pryor, but maybe not as a QB.
