How are we supposed to compete with the awesomeness that is the Washington Redskins now?

Kellen Clemens. Sounds like a fictional character

CaptainAmerica

They really look like they are looking ahead to next year's draft and trying to get Andrew Luck. How else can you explain Shanny playing the season with Grossman, Beck and Clemons?

He's talking about Clemons, the QB.

I saw the title and read "Cullen Jenkins" as well.

Good job the Little Danny to sign one of the guys from Super Troopers.

Clemens will be the 3rd QB

SuperBowl may have to wait another year (unless something happens to Beck/Grossman).

Speaking of which, I wonder if Rex is even still on the Radar?

Looks like their trying to position themselves for the Luck Sweepstakes.

I'm afraid the Skins are going to be awful this year and have themselves positioned to get Luck. No way they are trying to be competitive with the QBs they have on their roster.

They chose to keep Erik Ainge and his crippling drug addiction over Clemens. What does that tell you.

Edit: I mean, Ainge ended up retiring this offseason, but still.

I guess they plan on being really bad to try for Luck next year. I guess I can see why teams would do that. Seattle apparently is trying to but theyre in a piss poor division so they're going to wind up accidently winning some games.

Heck Shanny has some luck with a Stanford QB before so maybe he's hoping to catch lighting again. :)

By the way, the faux Dan Snyder Twitter (http://twitter.com/#!/DanSnyderCares) is ridiculously funny.

- To punish McNabb we exiled him to a team with Adrian Peterson, an O-Line, the 8th ranked defense and a competent coach. #vindictive

-Stallworth! And the hits keep coming. (Specifically, hits of pedestrians while impaired).

- To all of you critics of the Stallworth signing, just look at the stats: 2008, 17 catches; 2009, jail; 2010, 2 catches. High impact player.

- With the signing of Kellen Clemens, we have completed our roster! #Redskins now have 2nd, 3rd and 4th string QBs.

- Gaffney, Armstrong, Hankerson, Paul, Stallworth, Moss, Kelly, Williams, Robinson. MOAR! I must feed on wideouts to increase my vitality!

Shannahan is either going to look like the greatest QB mind in the history of the NFL, or he's going to tarnish his legacy worse than Gibbs did.

It has to be the latter, doesn't it?

I can't imagine being a Skins fan and knowing John Freaking Beck is going to be my QB. Really makes you wonder if Snyder has given him the okay for a longer-term plan (like going after Luck or something).

I'd tell you that you will rue Matt Leinart too, but Clemens is enough rue for a lifetime.

I have a couple for you:

1) You still call yourselves "America's Team"? lol...And, no, admitting that we have a stable of mediocre-at-best QBs does not equate to being "obsessed" with the Cowboys.

2) I wouldn't know...perhaps you could help me out and tell me what it felt like starting off the season 1-7. ;)

Either way it's going to be fun to watch. Like Evel Knievel jumping Snake River Canyon on the Skycycle.

Shannahan is either going to look like the greatest QB mind in the history of the NFL, or he's going to tarnish his legacy worse than Gibbs did.

Or he's not making the same mistake twice...

He's finding an adequate-at-best place holder until they can draft a Luck, Barkley or Jones. Meanwhile using the money saved there to sign quality players like Cofield and Wilson.

There isn't a QB available that would make any kind of sense to sign or trade for...

I wouldn't have minded trading Haynesworth for Orton...
