In one word, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones seemed to squash the idea that the team would pursue coveted free agent Nnamdi Asomugha in the coming days.

When asked if the team is set at cornerback, Jones gave with a short and sweet answer.

"Yes," he said.

Jones said the team has budgeted to sign six unrestricted free agents -- some of whom may have played for the Cowboys last season.

Forget Nnamdi: Cowboys like their corners

Cowboys fans can dream all they want, but Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins likely will be back as the team's starting cornerbacks with Orlando Scandrick as the nickel back. The Cowboys have $10 million tied up in Newman and $1.5 million in Jenkins, both former first-round picks....
