7 ft long and 250~ pounds. That's one large puppy. He looks like a gentle giant though and most Great Danes are.

Poor guy, probably won't live that long. Don't great danes only live 7/8 years or so?

6 - 9, but some live longer. It's a product of their size. I currently own 2 Danes. We had 3 at one time, but had to put one down last year. He was 197lbs and could drink out of the sink while standing on all four paws.

Thanks! They're great dogs. That article pretty much sums up how great danes are. By the way, Memphis was 41 and 1/4 inches from paw to shoulder. So he was 1 and 3/4 inches shorter than George. George is a big, big boy!

Giant George and his owners live here in Tucson. He has even has a Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/GiantGeorge)page. You cannot believe how big he is until you actually see him live. The park in the background of the 4th picture is about 2 miles from my house.

He's so thin he looks sorta like a Greyhound.
