At the league minimum as a backup RT/RG?
Absolutely.

I could have sworn I heard that he played great for them last year and we were stupid for cutting him.

Wouldn't he be a good mentor for Smith as a backup swing guy?

He did, and Pittsburgh wanted him back. He signed a two year deal last year with a heavy back end on the 2nd year ($5 million) that he was never meant to see. He refused to restructure down from the $5 million, so Pittsburgh released him.

He would be a good swing OT, no doubt about it.

I wouldn't mind seeing him come back, but I doubt he would want to come back to the team he once started for and be a backup.
