First-round pick Tyron Smith got his first practice in, and it wasn’t exactly smooth.
He committed a false start (yes, the Cowboys shipped in officials on the first day), and veteran linebacker DeMarcus Ware as well as Brandon Williams worked him over. The three-hour practice took its toll, too.
“It’s challenging. I ain’t going to lie,” Smith said. “It’s going to be a long process. But I’m going to learn and stay ahead as much as possible.”
