So far the media seems to think the Eagles are the best team on paper since landing players like Nnamdi, Rodgers-Cromartie, Babin, Jenkins, etc.

But doesnt this seem familiar?

Although we havent signed a big name FA from another team, Im pretty proud of the team resigning our own players like Free and the like and taking a conservative approach to FA, focusing on the players we have.

Also, I dont have any stats to back this up, but I cant recall a team going to the SB by signing more than 2 or 3 big name FAs. Maybe Im wrong.

Theres a big difference. The skins were never considered the best team on paper. They were simply always considered the offseason champions but they never started with an already good team. Philly was already considered a good team and added several of the top free agents. They still have a few holes and a few disgruntled players but they should be a very very good team.

The difference is Philly has a competent front office.
