Of the two most enigmatic and talented wide receivers to play the game in the last 15 years; Terrell Owens and Randy Moss, it appears that both will be headed into retirement without a Super Bowl ring between them. Not that TO has made any such announcement, but it looks like no one wants him at this point.
It's just a thought that crossed my mind tonight.

Just like Allen Iverson. There is no "I" in "TEAM".

Yeah, TO was a Mcnabb away from winning a super bowl. That's not to say he's not a loudmouth ******* who doesn't know how to keep his thoughts to himself, but he certainly helped every team he's played for on the field. Moss came pretty close to a super bowl win too, including catching 23 TDs in an undefeated regular season.
A huge majority of Hall of Fame players will retire without winning a super bowl. It's just the nature of the game. Each player only has a 1/32 chance of being on the team that wins the super bowl every year, no matter how good they are. Realistically those odds are much worse from year to year for some teams too.

When you realize how stacked the odds are against most players winning a SB ring, you gotta be amazed at those players who lucky to play on a team which wins multiple SB rings; i.e. 49ers, Cowboys, Steelers, Pats, Raiders, etc.

I don't believe for a second that Moss is retired. As soon as camps break he will sign somewhere.

Super Bowl or not those two guys will go down as two of the ten greatest wide recievers of alltime. They will be sorely missed.
