Reading their message boards and three players so far have just walked out of practice, and off of the team.
Noel Devine, a running back.
Ricky Sapp walked out today, and a member on their board said a UDFA WR walked out as well.
Not really sure what to make of that. They're all scrubs, but really? Walking off a team?
Walking off the DREAM TEAM?
C'mon, what's wrong with these guys? :p:

Maybe, its all the so called 'stars' being arrogant &/or full of themselves.
I hope all this hype causes them to implode.
Obviously they don't think they had any chance to make the team. Devine had no shot. Even if he made it, he wasn't getting any carries in a Pass-heavy offense with McCoy and Ronnie Brown in front of him. Same with the WR. Only chance is if DJax holds out and Maclin still ain't healthy. If and when they're back Avant and Riley Cooper are still ahead on the depth chart. I read on the Philly board that Ricky Sapp hurt his knee again or something. He claims he didn't quit.
At the end of the day, you've got to do what's best for yourself. When you're an UDFA, it's hard to earn a roster spot. Now that they cut down two-a-days, it makes it even harder to show what you can do. Considering the depth the Eagles have right now, you can't really blame these guys. Although this won't be well received by GMs of other teams. How would you feel if we signed a guy who had quit on his team?

That's interesting seeing as how they've assumed the role (annointed by the media anyhow) of being this years SB champions.

That is a LAME excuse. I promise you if I were a head coach and I heard that a player just walked out, he DAMN sure wouldn't get an invite to my camp.
Anyway, do we actually know what really happen here? Sounds scant on details of what actually happen.

Of course we don't know the details, but I have a hard time cutting these 3 guys any slack. Maybe one of them had a good opportunity - maybe a good job offer in another field and felt he wasn't going to make the team anyway, and I can buy that, but 3 of them? Most aren't even going to show up unless they plan to stick it out. Long shots show up knowing they are long shots, so why show up to begin with if you can't take being a long shot?
At the same time, this isn't something Cowboy fans should overexaggerate into something telling about the Eagles, although I'm sure that's how many will perceive it.

Hmmm...interesting. I would like to know more information on what happened here before saying to much but I certainly wouldn't want any players that just up and walked out, even if it's because they didn't believe they had any shot of making the team.
Quitting should never be rewarded.

I think it definately has to do with the amount of players they are signing. When you recruit an UDFA, you have to tell him that he has an opportunity to fit with the team. If they sign up and all of a sudden they add two more verterans at your position, you may no longer feel thats the best place for you. I don't agree with walking out of camp but, if you feel misled, some people are going to react that way.

They can only have I believe 90 on the team. They should expect that the team might have 90 players.

Exactly, and it's not as if the players that fill out the lower end of that 90 don't already know they are incredible long shots.

Noel Devine, a running back. wasn't this the highlight machine out of Florida coming out of high school?

Wasn't that the guy Deion tried to adopt?

Yes, and yes.
IMO he is too small for the NFL. Maybe a punt or kick returner. Or a 3rd down option.
Extremely fast and quick, and stronger than he looks, .. but still.
