They are chatting here in the Philly area that the Eagles are trying to make a deal with San Francisco. The Eagles would trade Samuel and a second round pick to the Niners for Patrick Willis.

Not gonna happen. That's like trading Demarcus Ware....Samuel is already 30 years old. PLUS, the Niners just signed Willis to a 5 year extension in 2010.

That's only a deal the Patriots can pull off except it would be Samuel and a conditional 6th...

I don't see Harbaugh trading the best MLB in the league for a 30 year old corner and a 2nd. San Fran loves Willis.

Yeah that extension plus this seemingly open disregard for the salary cap will have them in cap hell.

That might be a deal worth thinking about if Philly also threw in a first round pick.

edit: Didn't realize Willis was recently signed, nvm.

I was thinking about Philly adding a first rounder too, but then thought about it some more. Their first round pick is supposed to be in the upper 20s which would be pretty low in terms of value. I'd still think they'd have to offer a little more.

That would be the dumbest move the 49ers have ever made. There is nothing that could be topped in the Niners history if that move was made.

That's one of the worst trade ideas I've ever heard.

dumb rumour, the eagles would need to throw in namdi asomougha as well. Pat Willis is UNTOUCHABLE. BEST ILB in the gamre.

49ers would be insane to take that deal. But on another note...Philly needs depth at RB, we need a corner. Choice for Asante...get r' done! LOL

if i was JJ i would be going after top players all the time. imagine our defense will willis in it! i would offer them bradie james a 1st and a 2nd. them boom we have the best MLB in the league on our team. this guy runs what a 4.3? he can catch most receivers. he is hands down the best sideline to sideline MLB in the league. I love this guy like i do D-ware. could you imagine playing a 4-3 with ware and willis. too bad there is a cap.
