Hearing good things about him. Maybe he can return to his better days this year. I think he got soft and complacent under Wade.

In the two-minute drill on Thursday night, Jenkins was able to keep Dez Bryant out of the end zone on the final play of the drill by physically taking on Bryant near the goal line, which is something that we might not have seen from Jenkins in the past.

Having Jenkins bounce back is a key to the season. He and Scandrick absolutely must be good enough so TNew can start only when healthy. A healthy TNew is really good and better play by the youngsters allows him to play at his best not fighting through injuries and playing like crud.

One criticism I have had of the Boys for a long time is that they all too often rush someone back from injury instead of waiting longer for them to heal. I understand the need sometimes but I think it happens too often.

I'm not suprised he's having a good camp, he's got talent and he's good. He was hungry and going after it when fighting OS for the starting spot but took his foot off the gas after he made the Pro Bowl. WP's soft ways and practices didn't help at all. This kid can and RR will bring the best out of him. I can see him having a very solid year if not a outstanding year. The kid can play!!!

He has it in him. I saw it at USF.
The staff needs to ride him like his college coaches did.

Having Jenkins bounce back is a key to the season.:lmao2: .
I disagree.. The Key to the season Is Rob Ryan's scheme to the Defense that he will bring to the table for the upcoming season

Another guy I'm excited about is Mike Woicik. Hopefully he will be a huge asset in strength, conditioning, and healing of injuries.

Jenkins didn't get soft under Wade. He developed into a probowler under Wade. He was soft himself when he came in.
In any event, if he can play like he did in 2009, it'll go a long way towards redeeming the coverage deficiencies in the secondary this year. Let's hope he can.

I'm rooting for Jenkins. If he returns to 2009 form, it'll go a long way toward solidifying this defense. I want the Jenkins with the ""We Dat" mentality to make a comeback.

I will wait until the bullets fly in the regular season before making a judgement about Jenkins, or anyone else on this defense for that matter. They don't deserve preseason optimism after last year's outing, especially the first half of the year.

People seem to forget that Jenkins was very physical last year in coverage, too physical judging by the amount of laundry he drew. It was on tackling where he made "business decisions".

Agree. I like what I'm hearing about Ryan's scheme & the players' fondness of it but I hope all this buildup about them bouncing back & having a great season doesn't blow up in their faces...

If you're talking about bringing pressure then I agree. The pass rush is the biggest key to this season.

I'm very hopeful that Jenkins will rebound this year and have a great season. I think he's going to play with a huge chip this year and do his best to prove folks wrong.

I love what Rob Ryan brings, and I love the trash talk, but then I think of the personalities on this defense, and I wonder if they can back it up. That includes Mr. Ware, even though it is taboo around these parts to question Demarcus Ware's effort. Study the games from the first half of the year and it looks like Ware was perfectly content to engage his blocker instead of rushing the QB. When he wanted to rush, he was unstoppable. It looked like he was half-***ing it quite a bit last year.
I'm sorry to question Ware, but I have been watching NFL football for a very long time, and saw the likes of Lawrence Taylor play and take over games. Ware can do the same, when he wants to. He is the prized asset on this defense, and he needs to lead by example.

Hard to forgive Jenkins.
Its one thing to struggle as he did last season but he flat out gave up in several situations last year. I think he's a **** head. I hope he proves me wrong and redeems himself this season, for the teams sake.
