Cowboys center Andre Gurode practiced for the first time, hopeful that the recovery from his knee surgery in the summer didn’t set him back too much.
“I feel like I wasn’t as sharp as I should have been, but I was happy to be out there with the guys working,” he said. “They threw me back in there, you know. I know what Coach Garrett expects, so when I stepped on the field, it was full speed.”
Gurode and right guard Kyle Kosier are 10-year veterans, so their presence is important on a line that includes rookie right tackle Tyron Smith and rookie left guard David Arkin.
