ARLINGTON -- Coach Jason Garrett is proud of the Cowboys past.

He wants his players to understand what it means, not to dwell on it.

On Friday, Garrett said some former players, he wouldn't say who, are scheduled to attend Friday's scrimmage at Cowboys Stadium vs. the San Diego Chargers (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/sd/san-diego-chargers).

I love this.

It's such a refreshing difference from when Parcells would bring in former Giants.....ugh.

Now if Garrett would bring in some Landry era Cowboys to really connect the team to its glorious past.

And Jerry, it might help if this squad could look up and see more of those Landry era Cowboys in the Ring of Honor.
