I'm resisting the whole Google thing. Last time I tried to get a gmail account I had to provide a cell number for some sort of confirmation. The last thing I want to do is give Google my cell.

Just curious, why do you want to dump it?
I've had paypal since the beginning and have never had a problem. Even have a paypal credit card I use on occasion.
They have always had AWESOME customer service for me.

google checkout and if your an online merchant and do a lot of business you could do authorize.net . If you just want to store money in an account and strictly use for paying online ewallet is good.

It's because of that stupid credit card. I got it for the heck of it, in case I ever dipped below a certain amount, but I had plenty in my account and instead dipping into that for my online purchases they were just putting it on that friggin card and I didn't know. I get this bill will finance charges and a late fee. Pretty lousy business and I'm not too happy about it.

I think the cell number is option.....in case you forget your password.
I made a google account a while back and didn't provide my phone number.

So many companies will sell your info. Google is definitely one of them.
