We're all trying to get a solid feel for the strengths of the 2011 Dallas Cowboys. That said, after nearly three weeks of camp, the vulnerabilities on this team are clear. Safety is thin. Cornerback cannot absorb many -- or any? -- injuries. The same is true for interior offensive line and the wide receiver spot. Dallas could use some power in the offensive backfield.
Some of those ills may be remedied by late pre-season trades or waiver claims. Some of these spots will have to be papered over by superior coaching, until next offseason. Dallas probably won't be a major player in the 2012 free agent season, given it's abundance of dead salary cap dollars. That means more reliance on the draft.
