DMN: Cowboys to add Pearson, Allen, Haley to stadium's Ring of Honor

Drew Pearson (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Drew_Pearson), Larry Allen (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Larry_Allen) and Charles Haley (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Charles_Haley) are the latest members of the Cowboys' Ring of Honor, becoming the 16th, 17th and 18th players to have their names emblazoned on the interior facade circling Cowboys Stadium (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Cowboys_Stadium).

The Ring of Honor ceremony will be Nov. 6 during a game vs Seattle.

"All of these guys were part of some of the greatest moments," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Jerry_Jones) said. "They deserve to be here."

And Jerry gets it right. This should be the criteria.



Next season, I hope the following make it in:

Jimmy Johnson (fits Jerry's description above to a T)
Harvey Martin (it's just time)


The season after:

Cornell Green
Darren Woodson
Deion Sanders


The year Jerry retires, he should make it in too and I am sure he will.
