I've had this debate with posters here previously when the topic of wearing Cowboys gear in Oakland comes up. There's a lot of legit gang activity at Raider games.

In this case, it looks like it was Raider-on-Raider violence. Not all that surprising when the violence isn't necessarily fan-related. It's not a safe part of town.

A preseason game and someone is getting that serious?

Even a city as docile as Seattle has hostile fans. My wife and I went up there for a Patriots game (she is from Boston) and some dude just walks up and screams in her face. I turned around in time to watch him run off around the concourse.

Cowards. FedEx Field is full of them.

It's the Raiders fan's. I live in the Bay Area, you don't ever wear the opposing teams colors ever. I go to Oakland A's games and it's totally different.

Damn, I'm going to the Cowboys/49ers game too.

I'm STILL WEARING MY JERSEY.

Maybe I should keep my "You're in Cowboys Country" flag at home, lol.

Niners fans are completely different. Your colors will be ok. In OAK, it's a gang problem, not a fan thing.

I was in San Fran last week, and sported a Cowboys sweatshirt while I was there (hey it was cold by my standards). The folks around town were pretty cool. They talked a little smack but it was all in good fun. I did take it off before I ordered any food...lol.

However, Cowboys fans are not Raiders fans. Only one other fan base in league with the Raiders, the filthydelphia Shegles.

That's kind of what I've always perceived. I might actually be tailgating with a few 49ers fans, as my friend's brother lives out there and will be tailgating. I still want to head over to Oakland and drink some potion while doing 3-wheel motion, no what I'm sayin'??

I went to the Cowboys/Raiders pre-season game last year in Oakland. I didn't wear my jersey (was heavily warned not to) but saw a lot of people who did. They got some light heckling here and there but nothing disturbing or threatening. My impression was that you had to act like an ****** to have a problem.

Niner-gating is grilling shrimp and drinking mimosas. Wussies. Re: three-wheel motion, I'm not sure I do know what you're saying, but it sounds dirty.

Inside the stadium is actually ok if you behave yourself. Bathrooms can be dicey, but that's about it. It's the parking lots after the games that are dangerous, and you really don't have to act a fool to get in trouble if you walk past the wrong group. Chances are good you'd be ok, but those odds aren't really good enough once you come across the wrong group of OAK fans.

Heard someone else was beaten unconscious in a bathroom during the game.

Preseason is serious in Raider Nation!

three-wheel motion is making a lowrider with hydraulics ride on three wheels.
