I was going to start a thread for this specifically, but it fits nicely here.
These are the results of their first team offense's drives for the preseason:
Missed FG
Punt
punt
punt
punt
punt
punt
FG
TD after a 73 yard kick-off return
FG
Interception
punt
punt
punt
interception
Field goal
Sack to end the half
Turned over on downs after 1st and goal at the 7 yard line.
18 possessions
9 punts
2 interceptions
16 total points scored
There's your self-proclaimed "elite" quarterback NY fans.
I know if our offense had looked as inept as their's has this preseason, I wouldn't have missed not having internet access for the last week.
EDIT: Our first team offense's possessions this preseason:
FG
Punt
INT
TD
Punt
FG
TD
Punt
A single kneel down to end the half.
20 points in 8 real possessions.

I guess the prediction of the Jets taking over the city of NY is true then?

How'd y'all do with one of them spinning storms we sent up your way?
There's a variation on a variation of a joke from Braveheart that's been around before anyone thought of making that movie. Anyone who's been through a modern military history class has probably heard it some variation on it, usually involving France.
The biggest problem you have with conquering New Jersey is that no one will want it back.

My area did ok in the storm. Other surrounding areas south of me got hammered with flooding and collateral damage.

For all those bashing on NJ, Google Saddle River. My old home town. Not a bad place to live. On the other hand, Patterson which is underwater is the typical type of area people think of when they think NJ.

If I *HAD* to live in NJ, it would be far northwestern NJ. I haven't been to Saddle River, but I used to work in Tarry Town, NY and drive across the Tappen Zee heading to the Palisades Mall which I believe is only a few miles from Saddle River.
My rule of thumb for NJ is stay as far away from NYC and Philly as you can!

Come on man. Paterson isn't that bad. I like two minutes from it and only 20 from Saddle River. People who talk bad about Paterson have never been to Paterson. It's not the safest place in the world, but it's not Camden or Harlem. Right or wrong, that's a tyical "Northern Bergen County" answer. As anyone south of Paramus and people aren't scared of Paterson.

NJ has some really nice parts. Those of us like myself, from northeastern Jersey could never live out west. Its it in middle of nowhere. Bergen County is great. 15-20 minutes from NYC and about 45-60 minutes from the beach. There's nowhere else I'd live on the east coast. Although, if we're talking west coast, I'd move to San Diego tomorrow.

Ah the old Tappen Zee bridge. Used to head over that to White Plains to hit the Thirsty Turtle. What a dump :)

Your post made me smile. It's been twenty years since I have been in Patterson, so I suppose it may have become a little safer in that time. I now live literally in the middle of nowhere, 20 miles from Kansas City. It was quite the adjustment after growing up on the east coast, but I have grown to love it here. I do miss NYC. I'm taking the family to NY next spring. I am really looking forward to it.
