9) Alameda Ta'amu DT 6'2⅜" 334 Washington 93

This would be putting them on the road to solving many problems.

11) Courtney Upshaw OLB 6'1¾" 271 Alabama 93

Another one of my favorites who would fill a big hole.

21) Alshon Jeffery WR 6'4" 232 South Carolina 90

Not a need but I think this guy will be a stud at the next level.

Vontaze Burfict will be the #1 ILB off that board.

Guy is such a monster. Plays with such a mean streak and a never ending motor.

I do go to ASU so I have bias but still.....wish we could replace Bradie with him.

Burfict or Teo would be ideal at ILB for us but with recent high picks invested in Sean Lee and Bruce Carter, I can't see us going after either one.

Burfict or Teo would be ideal at ILB

but these guys are different players than Lee an Carter

The Meanest Man in College Football: Vontaze Burfict

Vontaze Burfict*, ILB, Arizona State
Height: 6-3. Weight: 245.
Projected 40 Time: 4.63.
Projected Round (2012): Top 15 Pick.

8/25/11: Vontaze Burfict has ideal size with excellent speed and is an elite athlete. Burfict runs around the field like a heat-seeking missle that is constantly looking to knock an opposing player out. He had 90 tackles last season (54 solo) with 8.5 tackles for a loss and two forced fumbles. Burfict is an excellent run defender that intimidates opposing players through his violent play.

boy if either one is sitting there for us an we don't grab themboy am I pissed

NEVER CAN HAVE ENUF LBERS IN A 3-4

and just watching this kid he reminds me R Lewis

Very weak year for safeties. Gotta go DLine or CB with the 1st rounder. Possibly OLB if they don't want to bring back Spencer.

That's what a lot of people have been projecting.

I can't help myself though, looking at NT's... Alameda Ta'amu looks mighty tempting, although I think his ranking here is a bit high. Looks like another bad safety class, we really should have grabbed on before 2011.

got to agree Count

Alameda Ta'amu, NT, Washington
Height: 6-3. Weight: 330.
Projected 40 Time: 5.42.
Projected Round (2012): 2-3.
8/28/11: Alameda Ta'amu was a tough run stuffer as a junior. He recorded 39 tackles with five tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks. In his second year as a starter, Ta'amu was an All-Pac-10 honorable mention. In 2009, he recorded 19 tackles with 4.5 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks. He started 11 of 12 games as a sophomore. Ta'amu is a powerful force at the point of attack. He enters the season as the top 3-4 nose tackle in the nation and a potential second-round pick.

Josh Chapman, NT, Alabama
Height: 6-1. Weight: 310.
Projected 40 Time: 5.20.
Projected Round (2012): 3-4.
8/28/11: Josh Chapman was a backup to Terrence Cody in 2009 and 2008. Last year, Chapman broke into the starting lineup at nose guard and recorded 31 tackles with 3.5 tackles for a loss and one sack. Chapman is a strong run defender at the point of attack. He could potentially add more weight. In the NFL, he looks like a potential fit as a nose tackle, or possibly as a five technique in a 3-4 defense.

Someone at Scouts Inc. is even more in the tank for the Horns than I am...

Kheeston Randall at 20?? Keenan Robinson at 48??

Well, Robinson's grade is probably about right at this early stage, my favorite draft gurus (NFL Draft Scout) have him graded at 53... but they have Randall rated at 44... I certainly don't think of Kheeston as a first round prospect at this point...

I like Burfict but think he's a little overrated, he misses some tackles and plays out of control at times.
