...we part with our 2nd rounder to NO for Howard? The more I hear of him, the more I'm liking this kid Josh Bullocks from Nebraska. I've heard comparisons of him to Ed Reed. If true, that' saying a lot.

We still need a FS, and I hope we don't go after the FS from the Colts (Bashir). Where do you think we will take a FS now, and is Free Agency still an option?

I thought we were going to sign a Vet FS but it looks as if we may take a late round flier on one in the draft....at this point.

That's better than what we have.....why do you think that BigDs?

I believe that Dexter Jackson visited us on Monday (at least that is what I am to understand), and we s/b eventually signing him. I also do not think it is out of the realm of possibility to trade both #1's to Miami for #2 overall, draft Mike Williams, and call it a day. With our two 6th round compensatory picks, we would have 5 day two picks for depth. I personally think this would be nothing short of brilliant on the part of Parcells/Jones, IMHO! ;)

we will sign Idrees Bashir

I agree BP has shown intrest in him and I think is waiting for Bashir to realize not a lot of teams are looking then get him cheap.....I also think Bashir can be a good player he has been injury prone........"Cheaper" incentive laden contract...

Sounds better than Pete Hunter to me...

If we lost a 2nd, we may go for Pool at 20. Sounds like a reach, but maybe a possabilty if we can't trade down with one of the 1st round picks. There still may be some quality guys in the 2nd day like OJ Atogwe, James Butler, Sean Considine, Kerry Rhodes, and Mitch Meeuwsen.

This page (http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/combinebypos.php?genpos=FS&sortorder=LastN&order=ASC) Shows some combine #'s from some of those guys as well as where that site predicts these guys to go. Check out Considine with the best Wonderlic. I'd want someone in coverage with some smarts ;)

Not sure why Meeuwsen wasn't there or wasn't invited, looked like one of the more solid FS's. Maybe we'll have to wait for his Pro Day.

Butler solves FS issues IMO

Okay... I'm lost.
Two questions.
1. Where does it say that Dexter Jackson is visiting/has visited?
2. How did he already "visit on Monday"? Tomorrow is Monday. Or has he already come for a visit?

Bashir is worthless. I'd rather draft a FS or go with Davis/Hunter.

I've seen plenty of Idres Bashir. The guys ok, but I can't say I'd be excited about that acquisition. I believe I'd rather go via the draft, depending on how some things make work out ebtween then and now.

Bashir is garbage. He was a safety on one of the worst teams in the league. If he were even somewhat average they Colts wouldn't of spent a second round pick on safeties in their last two drafts.

I'd rather draft Josh Bullocks in the second then to waste a roster spot on Bashir. If the Howard deal goes down and we lose our second, then we trade down from 20 and get another 2nd rounder.

There may be one sleeper in the late rounds (providing his workouts don't push him up a lot).
If these (http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/combinebypos.php?genpos=FS&sortorder=LastN&order=ASC) #'s are correct for Justin Beriualt, then he was at least impressive at the combine. Never seen him play though. But he's 6-3 and has a 39.5" verticle....nice thing with the trend to tall wr's. He ran a good 40 and 10 yard, plus had the quickest SS and 3 cone. Now maybe he looks lost on the field, but he sure looked good in workouts. Slim chance anyone here ever saw him?
