Just started listening to their new album last night and I am taken aback by how good it is. I wasn't much of a fan of Stadium Arcadium, but it looks as if they have created another solid CD with "I'm with you". Any zoners here that have an opinion on the new CD?

Big RHCP fan here. I wasn't expecting much from this album with the loss of Frusciante but I'm pleasantly surprised by it. "Even You Brutus?' especially kicks ***.

Never really liked RHCP. Kind of find them annoying actually. Listening to this...nothing has changed.

In my opinion, RHCP is the best modern band around. But with the absence of Frusciante it's never quite as good as they can be.
I haven't heard much of this album, mostly because I find the droning on the hit song to be little annoying, yet catchy. I'll give it a listen though..

Boo, Frusciante and Flea are two of the best musicians of the last 20 years.

Frusciante is probably the most underrated member of the Chili Peppers, which is odd. Because I believe he is one of the best guitarists in today's time...simply because of what he does stylistically.
The albums without him were hard on the ears, even with Dave Navarro.
