When media members are gathered around Rob Ryan (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Rob_Ryan) it’s rare for the Cowboys defensive coordinator not to provide some quote-worthy material.
Here are some highlights from Rob Ryan’s time with the media.
On the challenges of playing against a loaded Jets offense:
“You can’t understate the challenge. It’s obviously a huge one and we’re looking forward to it. This is a start of something great and at this time it’s going to be against the Jets who are one of the most talented teams in football. They’ve been to the final four (playoffs) the past two years, so they’re very well coached and they’ve got great players.”
On Jason Garrett’s approach heading into the Jets game:
“Jason’s grinding on everybody because he’s the best head coach around, so he’s like, ‘Watch more Jet tape. Watch more Jet tape.’ So I go, ‘Man, if I watch anymore Jet tape, Joe Namath (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Joe_Namath) will have to be the quarterback.’ It’s just that way. It’s a tough business and that best people are the ones that are prepared and we’ll do a good job and we’re going to hold our end up.”
