If I had to choose today it would be Witten.

But the best player IMO very well could be Julius.

Who do you think is the best player on our current roster. ?

If I had to pick one to start a team, I would pick Julius on speculation.
Second would be Roy Williams.
Third would be Witten.

Roy Williams the kid is a destroyer of players

...young and has blown assignments in coverage and calls this past year. Not a knock on him, but rather a byproduct of his inexperience.

Glover has been the best player for this team since he arrived. Consistent, plays at a high level and is still regarded as someone you have to account for.

There are others with better talent, but he's been Mr Steady at a high level.

That's why his peers get him to the Pro Bowl year after year. A real pro.

Where would you guys put Dan Campbell on this list.

I think he is right up there as far as his impact on the field and in the locker room.

I would say that right now our deepest position is Tight end.

Larai Glover
Roy Williams (not a ballhawk, but the league's best strong safety)
Jason Witten (coachable kid who is only climbing)
Julius Jones (if he could catch, he'd easily be #1)
LA (still dominates)
Greg Ellis
Newman
Dat
Fergy
Flozell Adams
Anthony Henry
Glenn/Keyshawn/Bledsoe -- our Parcells triplets

...but isn't on the field for every play. He's one of those guys who can make the unsung hero plays in blocking and delivers a high performance everytime he is on the field, but he isn't on the turf for every play.

He's not going to be an every down TE with Witten on the roster and rightly so. I still stay with Glover for now.

Not sure exactly what you're asking.

If I had to say who had the most impact it would be Julius. Of course he's not going too far too often without the OL.

I don't know who is most valuable but I'd say Allen, Flo, Glenn, Jones, Glover, Witten, Ellis, Newman and Roy are in there somewhere.

I don't know who the best athlete is. Thorton? Newman? Jones? Glover? It isn't Roy but he might be the best football player.

OT but the best player on this team is the entire team. When we get the depth and overall strenght of roster as the Pats then we will be in the hunt.

Interesting question and answers.

When motivated imo Larry Allen is our best player. Jason Witten would probably be by second choice.

The best way I could describe it would be....if you were going to build an NFL football team and could choose one player from our current roster to play on that team.....who would it be ?

I would have a hard time choosing between Witten and Julius. But I would probably go with Witten because he is more proven.

I cannot remember if Witten has been to the probowl.

If he has not...then I pick Witten

If he has (and I think he has) then I definitely agree with your choice.

Julius looks like a franchise RB who can take it all the way anytime he touches it. He gets my vote.

I'd probably pick a prime Allen over him although I'd pull my hair out trying to pick him over Julius.

This is silly....witten, glover, ellis....come on.

Offer any individual on this team in trade, including Julius Jones and Witten, and the only player on this team that you could possibly trade for a top 10 draft pick is Roy Williams.

If Newman gets back on track and plays more like his freshman season and the last half of his sophomore season than the first half of last season, then he might get notice too.

I love Witten and Jones, but try trading either of them for a top #1 draft pick....I don't think you'd have any takers.

Rotflmao....are you joking? You have to be...........right?
NO offense, but this team is so crappy in talent that it's hard to pick the best player because we don't have any superstars.

Hopefully, it looks like the roster is improving, but we're definitely not in the class with the best teams yet.

Larry Allen - then Witten then it could be Jones, but I need a little more time to tell. Witten proved himself last year and I think he'll be a star for the rest of his career.

Roy Williams is also up there. There are a couple things he could do to fine-tune his game. . .but he is good and could be considered one of the best.

5. Julius Jones

By the end of the year I think it will be:

1. Julius Jones
2. Roy Williams
3. Witten
4. Glover
5. Terence Newman

Who do you think is the best player on our current roster. ?Larry Allen is the best player ever to suit up for Dallas. The gap between him and the 2nd best Guard ever to play is a huge chasm. No other player who has ever played for Dallas and is the best ever at his position has such a comfortable lead on 2nd best ever. He may be a shell of his old self, but he's still a beast.

Roy Williams.

He is the only PROVEN game changer/impact player/other teams have to scheme for player on our roster.

Jones is getting there, but not quite yet.

Drew Bledsoe :D

But seriously, ... I'd say Witten. That's becasue most TE are of the blocking type who are marginal at the passing game. It's rare to find a TE who's as good as Witten as a receiver and has the ability to be a formidable blocker. His receiving skills add a dimension to the offense that can take it a step beyond.

My second choice is Laroi Glover. He immediately upgraded the D-line once he arrived and has held his own. He's also been consistent, unlike others - including Roy Williams - who saw a dropoff last season.

Finally, I've slotted Witten over Glover in my ranking because I chose to go with an offensive player over a defensive player. And that's only because the NFL is an offense-oriented league.
