Is this the same bunch of guys that have been around dating back to Jimmy Smith?

They totally misdiagnosed and almost killed him. Didn't Kevin Smith sue Cowboys on malpractice issue?

Look at our track record on back surgeries, Novacek, Woodson, Johnston. Missed Irvins condition.

Do they review and look at draft picks? Lafleaur? Rogers?

Marco Rivera? Seems like our Doctors suck - any thoughts?

Players go to outside doctors, yes we have a medical staff but when it comes to surgery these guys go to some of the best sports doctors out there. This is not done in house. LOL

Come on, they know what's up. They all stayed at Holiday Inns last night.

Why are we automatically assuming that they "missed something" regarding Rivera. It's fascinating how many armchair experts there are out there--when NOONE knows anything about the situation! It may just be possible that whatever this is popped up unexpectedly. The guy hadn't missed a game in 6 years due to injury. Do people really expect that there was some sort of terrible condition hiding there that incompetent Dallas morons missed?
Why don't we assume that the doctors did their job, & that this thing may just have happened? You know, as the saying goes, "s*** happens"--& it really does occasionally. Also, beauty (or health) is in the eye of the beholder. Remember last week when the Chiefs passed on Rolle because of his spine? The Ravens seem to think it's just fine (& I wonder how many on this board would willingly have had the team doctors ok him as well if we'd wanted him). Wonder who'll be proven correct on that one? Can't we please wait until this season plays itself out before jumping to conclusions on this?

Given your concerns about health tho, Nors, can we assume that you've changed your position on signing Law? Now THERE'S a legitimate injury risk signing!

Some people are going off the deep end here about this Rivera situation. Get a grip, OK?

This is a funny topic for me just because of Jerry's defensive remarks on the evening of the first day of the Quincy Carter draft.

While defending the choices of Carter and Dixon in Round 2, someone asked Jerry about Shaun Rogers. Jerry's now famous line ... "I looked at the x-rays myself ... he won't play this year," ... still cracks me up.

Yes but he did mention that he and Quincy shared the same birthday...doesn't that count for anything. :p:

Who playing the salaries of the doctors and the players?

Maybe you'll find the answer there?

Jerry fault? Our team doctors do not do the surgery on players they monitor the player after they go through procedures but our guys go to the same group of surgeons that all players go to.

Howard - broken wrist in 2003. He missed 3 games in 2004, believe knee.
Has had shoulder issues in past. All in all nothing more than normal wear and tear on a Football player.
If we give him a $17M signing bonus and Trade a #2 we are LOCO.

Yes, it all goes back to JJ.

But looking at scouting, background/character checks, medical checks, there are not a lot of details there....... :skins:

Dallas just installed a new MRI system at Valley Ranch; which should help them in diagnosing these type of problems. Troy Aikman also had similar surgery before he won his first SB. Most players will get the teams opinion and then go to their own DR's such as Owen's did.

Oh well, I was hoping to read a reply to that one, KM. Guess Nors "missed" it.

I think some of the medical staff and trainers went to Miami when Jimmy took over the Dolphins.
